We enjoyed our stay here, it had everything we needed including the views of the hills from the back of the property, we were met by two horse's on our arrival in the field behind and was met by the owner who shown us briefly were the rooms are. There's a mini EE WI-FI you can charge up and this was very useful, plenty of hot water especially with the shower being powerful with a good sized bathroom, bedroom has a double bed and was very comfortable with plenty of space in the wardrobe along with hangers, we used the kitchenette lights at night this was ideal for us. The owner left us a packet of biscuits, teabags and dog treats thank you but we had to leave the doggie treats as our dog passed away after booking the cottage, but she would of enjoyed them. Good walks each day from the doorstep or you could drive out to have day trips, you park at the end of the driveway and it is gated. The cottage is in a remote area and ideal for walking dogs, the garden wall is low around 2ft, the garden has a bistro style table and chairs on a patio ground with a small grassed area.

Lovely cottage.. Absolutely fabulous views. Walks in every direction from door. Including to Thors cave, which is a must see. There are no shops near, so need to take provisions. Tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, dog treats, and choccy biscuits are provided by owner, which was nice. Will definitely return. Peaks are beautiful.

What a lovely little place this is to stay.. It's sooo nice to stay somewhere that's clean and comfortable, If I tried really hard to find a fault it would be a lack of Wi-Fi or phone network, but don't let this put you off because it was an excuse to walk the dogs and few hundred yards down the road I got a signal, I actually found after a day how nice it was not to have a constant ringing phone. This place is a real gem and glad to have found it

Anne & Eric very helpful and kind.. Cottage would have benefited enormously from heated towel rail in bathroom. Booster pump also needed for shower - OR - you should explain that the shower is just suitable for hair washing as it has very low pressure. Very clean and well presented - wonderfully comfortable bed - fantastic views.

The cottage is lovely and cosy in an outstandingly beautiful place with views across the countryside.. On arrival there was fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and even treats for the dogs. The owner was very friendly, helpful and approachable. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a better shower. The hot water pressure is low because the tank is at ground level. Other than that minor point, we had a great time

Lovely cottage, really nice, the only negative is the shower is poor with very little water pressure and the shower coming off the taps you only get a very small amount of water with no force behind it - they should really fit a power shower.. Also no phone signal and no wifi, so no way of contacting the outside world (this was fine with us, but may not be suitable for everyone). Lovely quite location, feeding horses over the low garden wall was really nice. No village pub or shop, so you do need to drive to get anything.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing time staying at Manifold Cottage.. We were met by Ann, the owner, who was very welcoming and on hand in the farmhouse next door to deal with any queries. Gladly we didn't have to disturb her. Despite the cold weather (and snow), the cottage was very warm and cosy. Lovely views over the Manifold Valley and the two horses in the field behind the cottage were very friendly with our dog. An ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and the property came up to the usual standard we expect of Sykes! The views from the rear of the property were outstanding and the accompanying welcome from Mac the dalmatian and the two horses were enjoyed, the owner was very gracious and helpful.
