We visited this cottage as a family of 10 covering 4 generations and there was something to do for everyone! The facilities are exceptional, some of us spent the night in the hot tub, whilst others played table tennis and pool (and some just chilled out and had one too many drinks!) The house is immaculate and all the bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. it was lovely to all have our own en suite too as it made it feel a little more private in the evening when we were done socialising for the day. The property is located on a farm, my niece loved this as she enjoyed seeing all the cows and sheep around. The building it's self is beautiful and very secluded which we enjoyed. It is quite a trek to the nearest town, Ruthin.. and it takes a bit of time to get properly into Snowdonia from here. But for the facilities of the property and the secluded location, we thought it was worth the drive! Would highly recommend this property for a family holiday!

The cottage is better than described and shown in pictures.. each bedroom has a bathroom including a shower and were all very spacious, which was appreciated as there was 8 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog! the outdoor area is covered so you can go in the hot tub when its raining and use the bbq. Eryl was super friendly and came to introduce himself and brought cake from the local farm shop. the pub that is in the village is lovely and very good value for money. we would 100% come back here.

Home from an amazing weekend at the bigger of the two cottages. I booked the cottage for my 30th birthday weekend. 12 of us stayed and there have been no complaints. The cottage is so big that we were never on top of each other. Each bedroom has its on ensuite which is perfect for 12 girls! Hot tub and sauna are lovely additions. It is a bit off track and quite a way from ruthin but if you drive its only 15 minutes. Only thing I would say is the reception isnt great and the wifi is very hit and miss. There also isnt anything for music like a speaker but easy enough to take yourself! Will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely weekend, the cottage has all the aminites you could wish for.. I particularly liked the two Woodburners, they make for a cosy winter Break. Eryl was a great host. We made use of both the sauna and hottub. All the bedrooms are lovely and it is a real bonus that each one has an en-suite. We have already booked to go back next year, thanks

There are two adjoining properties, that can be joined together to make a 7 or 8 Bedroom property (all at least a double room with en-suites) We stayed in the smaller two Bedroom property. Very warm and cosy, fitted out with a large fully functioning kitchen. Has extras like a playstation3 which was useful for the kids, but there is so much to do outside, it was barely used. Great options to go walking in the fields, through the Clocaenog Forest or down to the pub. The owner Eryl was very welcoming and helped with any questions we had. The other people workign on the farm (its a real working Beef Cattle Farm), were always really helpful. We will come back one day. Thanks.

Lovely 5 bed plus the option of a sofa bed attached to one of the main bedrooms All on suite with option for all but one to be twin linked king sized beds The seating in the lounge for all of us was just enough and the wood burin ting stove in this room got very warm. Seats around the dining table was great and allowed for us to eat together with enough crockery and cutlery ( something not every place has) The kitchen was functional and had enough room although we had a small problem with fridge on last day - reported as we left. Hot tub was a lovely addition and main reason we booked along with games room and sauna Addition of a shared washing machine and dryer was a boon as we were travelling on to another holiday let and this enabled us to clean the toddlers clothes prior to travelling Comment - would loved the small area of grass just after the fence to have been the other side as this would have allowed our toddler to have been outside on the grass on her bike with us watching from the kitchen etc as it was open to the one teach road it meant we had to be outside at all times

Very friendly, helpful owner.. Lots of space and plenty of bedrooms in the cottage. The hot tub- particularly brilliant- sauna and games room, (although table tennis table a bit wobbly), are great assets to this cottage. Wifi and phone signal very intermittent, but this was expected considering we were in a rural area. The only complaint about the cottage is that we felt a couple of the bathrooms ( mould on the ceiling, flies in the lights, tiles could have been cleaner in downstairs bedroom's ensuite), could have been cleaner. You do need to be prepared to drive , ( which we were) to get to places, but there is a great deal to do. We couldn't fit everything in that we wanted to do- great area for dogs. Most places very dog friendly. A very good week overall.

A fantastic cottage with great amenities to relax (games room, hot tub, sauna, patio, flat area of garden for kids to play), kitchen has all necessary utensils to cook large meals for our group of 11.. ( adults, 2 children aged 10 and 6, and baby of one year) large cooker, large fridge/freezer. Large dining table, excellent beds and on-suite bedrooms. Comfy lounge and TVs in all rooms if you find time to have them on. The location is idyllic, interesting for the kids to be on a working farm. So peaceful, quiet and picturesque. Perfect walks in all directions, fabulous views. Very friendly hosts and Eryl was out quickly to help us when we we blew a fuse. Whilst we had great weather I think even in all weathers/seasons it is an excellent place to stay. Days and nights with no TV (by choice) no playstation (kids never even asked), and just enjoying the views, peacefulness and wildlife was brilliant. Ruthin is close enough to drive to for a day out, the local pub isn't walk-able as the main road is busy and no pavements, but just take your beer and stock up that big fridge...Thanks Eryl, it was our 30th wedding anniversary and to spend it in such a beautiful place with our close family was perfect. We will be back.

This is an excellent venue for family gatherings (including dogs) - our party's ages ranged from 70 years to 12 months and we were all able to find things to do or relax with.. I am sure it helped that we had wall-to-wall blue skies virtually all the time we were there but even in the rain it would be a great place to stay. We did have a shower on the first night but it made an evening session in the hot tub even more enjoyable. There was plenty of cutlery, crockery, glasses, etc and the kitchen even had two dishwashers! The 'essentials' such as washing up liquid and capsules for the dishwashers were all there which meant no rushing to the shops on arrival to stock up on these. The owner, Mr Williams, was very non-intrusive and was happy for us to visit the animals on the farm. We had 3 dogs with us which we kept on leads in the open parts of the farm, but Mr Williams let us us an enclosed field behind the house where tha dogs could run freely. This was an excellent base for us to experience the beauty of Snowdonia and visit the excellent beaches all around the area. We were primarily there to go to Surf Snowdonia and the Velocity zip wire but had a great time touring around with family and dogs.

House, although on a working farm was quiet and peaceful.. Having two dishwashers was great with a big party. Beds were comfortable.Overall the accommodation was good but did need some TLC. A few lamps to read by in the sitting room would have been appreciated. We did raise the issue of the cleanliness of the hot tub with the owner as we found an empty drinks can in it but he assured us it was cleaned regularly.

We booked both cottages for our family, to celebrate our Golden Wedding. We had a wonderful week. The bedrooms are all spacious and en-suite, with large comfortable beds. We made the most of the hot tub, sauna and games room and there are lovely walks straight from the cottages. Eryl couldn't do enough to help us.

9 members of our family stayed in here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having all 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms was excellent as it meant nobody had to share. Eryl the owner came to meet us on arrival to make sure we were OK and if we had any problems to let him know. The cottage is set on a working farm with cows and sheep. We all made use of the hot tub and games room, an added bonus. The only issue we had was the level of cleanliness with regard to the cooker and kitchen bins. However, this wouldn't stop us booking again. Excellent cottage.

June 2017
We rented the cottage for a 60th birthday party. 8 members of the family stayed and another eight joined us for the Sunday. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, even allowing us to use the kitchen in the adjoining property free of charge on the Sunday. The hot tub was a definite plus. Beds were very comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay. Views were tremendous. The cottage did show signs of hard use though. Couldn't lock the back door, the games room was unfinished and the sauna didn't work and various other minor niggles. It didn't detract from an excellent week though. We would stay again but would hope that the above would have been addressed by then.

Set on a working farm, these two beautifully converted cottages (see also Tyddyn) once formed the main farm house. Eryl, the owner, has thought of everything possible to make your stay comfortable. The beds, the en-suite bathrooms (of which there are 5), the living and dining spaces and kitchen equipment are all excellent. The games room with pool table and table tennis, the hot tub and the sauna are just extraordinary extras. We wanted for nothing. The setting is idyllic; in rural Denbighshire, near the pretty market town of Ruthin. There is plenty to do nearby with children of all ages, including teenagers. The north Wales coast and Snowdon National Park are within a short drive. Eryl is nearby and always on hand should you need anything. He even recommended a wonderful local chef whom we paid to come and cook dinner for us in the cottages. That was a lovely holiday treat! I would highly recommend Maestyddyn holiday rentals.

The cottage was well furnished and had comfy beds good quality linen, the temperature was perfect with under floor heating, and if needed a log burner. The kitchen had everything needed to entertain plus lots of country walks, to build up an appetite. The highlight for the family was the hot tub.

The quality of the accommodation was excellent. Especially each room having an en-suite. Hot tub a definite plus! Location was good with forest walks from the cottage or nearby forest parks or general walks. Easy to pop down to Ruthin for those who like to look at shops. Excellent cakes on arrival and fresh towels in the utility room was great.

We have stayed at this property for the past 2 years together with the property next door. Both properties together sleep up to 17 people. The properties are well presented and spacious. It has been a home from home for us as an extended family. The properties have excellent comfortable furniture throughout, with the added use of the hot tub, which both adults and children alike enjoyed. The surrounding fields are great to play in The owner Eryl is very welcoming and area has a great community spirit. We are staying again in October. I would and have recommended this property to family and friends. You will not be disappointed if you book this as a holiday.

A fantastic property in a superb location. Beautiful cottage tastefully and thoughtfully furnished. Ideal for large group events as everyone can have solitude if they wish and gathering areas are large enough to accommodate the group. Hot tub a great additional facility. The cottages were of a very high standard, all inventory was plentiful and furniture excellent (no flat packs here). The owner, was very pleasant and on hand when required to offer any advice about the local area and amenities. The properties were very clean. It is situated on a working farm and allows you to use it as a base for visiting places in North Wales, or allows the peace and quiet to recharge your batteries from the normal hustle and bustle of working life. The bedrooms were very comfortable all were en-suite, and each had a TV to watch. The garden contained a hot tub which was checked daily to ensure it was clean. The gardens each had a gas barbecue and seating area. The property had an amenity room were clothes could be washed and dried so that no washing was necessary when we got home. The cottage also had a games room with a snooker and table tennis table. All had a thoroughly great holiday here, and we are happy to recommend this holiday property to anyone. We will definitely be back.

The hot tub was a added extra. Amazing cottage!
