The holiday cottage was probably one of the cleanest and most well equipped we have stayed in.. We were met by the owner, who had provided a welcome pack and homemade cakes, which was a thoughtful touch. She had even decorated for Easter. The beds were comfy and it was a real home from home. The property is well located, within walking distance to pubs and shops, lots of places to visit nearby, and we were able to go for some lovely walks into the countryside right from the house.

The house was extremely clean and well equipped.. The owner met us with cakes and buns and had laid the table for afternoon tea, which at the end of a long journey was very welcome and very special. I think overall it's the best holiday cottage we've had. Also very well placed with shops nearby yet within easy reach of the countryside and places of interest.

Located in the quaint village of Wombourne this location was ideal for us.. The house is perfect for families sleeping 5. Ruth and David were so welcoming and easy to talk to and so considerate of my personal needs. I appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the washer, the great central heating radiators which I used to dry my washing, a comfy lounge with decent sized tv, the file folders full of local information and resources and the freezer! Many self catering places do not have a freezer which I myself find almost essential. We cooked all our own meals. This house feels like home away from home and II would definitely come back and rent again.

This house is amazing and has everything you can think of in it. It's clean and the owners are friendly and helpful. It was a bit wet while there so we didn't get to spend time in the garden which has a good size yard.

Very well-cared for and spacious cottage.. Everything was very clean and tidy and all equipment in good working order. The large garden was well maintained. The owners were there to welcome us and had gone to a lot of trouble to decorate the house for Christmas and to provide us with a delightful afternoon tea. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would be very happy to recommend this property to anyone else.

Just returned from a wonderful week away with our 3 children. The home was perfect. The house is clean and has everything we needed. The children's beds were made with character bedding tastefully decorated with little touches and a beautifully laid table awaited our arrival. The location was perfect for lovely walks along the canal and wasn't too far for our visits to nearby family. Thank you Ruth and David; we will be definitely returning!

The house is clean, tidy and has everything you could think of and more. On arrival we had a afternoon tea provided which was a lovely touch. I had my husband and teenage daughter with me so we had lots of room. I found the double bed to hard but was able to sleep in another room. The yard was a nice size and it is a lovely change compared to Hotels.

We stayed a week in Wombourne late May 2015. Our holiday in England was suberb, thanks for our lovely accommodation in Loningside! Everything was taken care of, our children had even kids bed linen and loads of DVD's to watch (which we didn't as we were on the move all the time). The owners had paid excellent attention in details before our arrival. Everything we needed was there and the apartment had taken great care. It was really a gem we found!

We have stayed in this property for the last 4 or 5 years and will definitely return.. It's a lovely house; comfortable, clean and with a homely feel. The owners are always welcoming and even have home baking ready for when we arrive. I particularly appreciate this as I have Coeliac and am lactose intolerant so baking for me is not straightforward. The garden is well kept and having parking and free Wi-Fi is great.

Liked the ambience! The owners were extremely interested in assuring that our stay was memorable, nothing was a problem to them. The large rear garden was most pleasant, the internet was very fast and the property location was good.

We really loved the property! There was plenty of equipment and our children were especially taken care of with special blankets and bedlinen, toys, DVDs and child seats. The owners were so polite and helpful; we've stayed in many other properties but this was by far the best. They have obviously given lots of thought into visitors requirements.

Loningside is possibly the best place we have stayed in as it was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped, warm, spacious and very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and there was a lovely afternoon tea when we arrived. Wonderful place to stay. Ruth's family thought of every detail imaginable and I mean every, right down to safety gates and features for our toddler. There were games, books, tourist information just to name a few. The freshly baked English tea that awaited us on arrival was icing on the cake of a wonderful run property. Thank you!!!!!

The owner made me very welcome and explained everything I needed to know about the house. The location was excellent, allowing me to access sections of the River Severn where I could fish. Also there was a pub just a few hundred yards away plus lots more in the immediate vicinity. This house had everything you would have in a family home, you needed for nothing.

A very clean and child friendly holiday let, with three children the garden and outdoor toys were a real bonus. The whole holiday let was extremely well prepared and there was everything you could need! Extensive indexed tourism leaflets of the locality and tourist attractions and very close to the Co-op for milk and basic groceries.

The location was great for what we needed. The house was amazingly clean and very well equipped. We were made very welcome with cakes and biscuits on arrival and even a gift for our boys. We stayed with our two young boys and were really impressed with the accommodation. The cottage is a real home away from home and provided us with everything we needed including a cot and a high chair for the baby. The home baked treats were a lovely touch especially after a 4 hour car journey. Ruth could not do enough for us. Also a real central base for us visiting friends and family in Wolverhampton and Dudley. Will definitely book again.

What a lovely place! Immaculately clean, cosy and warm, all the amenities and mod cons you could ever need for an experience that was like staying in a home from home! When we arrived after a very long tiring flight from austrlalia, it was wonderful to be welcomed by a home made cream tea sitting on the dining table. We were blown away. The beds were warm and so comfortable, the garden beautiful and relaxing, enabling us to enjoy morning coffee listening to birds in stunning surroundings, and then relax at the end of a day exploring the beautiful walks in the area by sitting in the serene surroundings and sipping a wine or two at sunset. And wifi! What a treat! We could contact home easily, share photos of the wonderful area and Skype. Great location, easy access by car to most midlands cities and main road to the north or south of Engalnd or into Wales. We will definitely be staying here again

The property was very clean and cosy and it was a pleasure to return each night. The canal and railway walks were just at the end of the road. We give this holiday 10/10.

Meant we could keep in touch with friends and family back home. I would definitely stay here again. Fantastic!

December 2012
We couldn't of wished for a nicer welcome. The house was decorated for Christmas and looked so welcoming plus the owner had left this lovely morning tea for us. Nothing was too much trouble, she has thought of everything to make life comfortable for her guests. There is an impressive guide giving details of places to visit in the area. We were there on business but did manage to explore Wombourne and very much enjoyed walking on nearby Kinver Edge, a must visit if you enjoy walking. Also, visited the lovely town of Bridgnorth. The house is in a good location for getting to many interesting places. We will stay again.
