Lon Cottage is set five miles from Blairgowrie and can sleep six people. The cottage has two super king-size double bedrooms (zip/link, can be twin on request) with en-suite shower rooms, a ground floor super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with an en-suite Jack-and-Jill bathroom, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is ample off road parking, lockable bike storage and a patio garden with furniture and a barbecue. Lon Cottage is a wonderful holiday base.

Three bedrooms (zip/link, can be twin on request): 2 x super king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x ground floor super king-size double with en-suite bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
The red stone town of Blairgowrie is situated on the banks of the River Ericht, where it emerges from spectacular gorges in Strathmore. With good shops and great restaurants, it makes an excellent base for exploring Perthshire and the beautiful Angus Glens.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

What a fantastic cottage,everything provided to make a break a home from home in a stunning location.Ailene & Stewart are fantastic hosts who can't do enough for you & are more than happy to give a tour of the farm from holding baby goats to feeding the Alpacas.The welcome gifts on arrival were greatly recieved.We will definately be returning to this lovely cottage.

Aieleen & Dave made you feel at home & very welcome. A lovely welcome pack. It was great to be back again. The accommodation is what you would want when on holiday. Spotless comfortable beds downstairs en suite bathroom very large. There is enough pots pans crockery coffee maker etc. & cleaning products ie, washing up soap dishwasher & for washing machine had soap in all bathrooms. A great outside fenced patio area with table & seating. wild rabbits come up to fence. Plenty of parking for cars They have Alpacas deer kangaroos chickens. ducks, come to great you when you return, but not onto the patio. Our 3rd visit will be back thank You.

Lon Cottage was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area.. It was clean and spacious and each bedroom had a bathroom with a shower, which was great. The owner was also very generous with her time when showing us her wonderful animals including alpacas, goats and fantastic donkeys. Thanks!

We spent a week in Lon Cottage.. The location is lovely and the farm animals are a great asset if you stay with children. We were disappointed that we didn't have a welcome hamper, we were told it's not allowed due to COVID-19 but we couldn't understand why getting a few essentials for our arrival was a problem. The cottage was lovely however we would say the cleanliness was not to the standard we would expect, especially considering they were supposed to have been deep cleaned. There was a dirty wipe behind the dresser in the main room and an old makeup palette in a basket in one of the bathrooms, there was alot of dust and the coffee table was filthy when we wiped it. In the information for the cottage it mentions WiFi is available but intermittent, WiFi is not available or atleast it wasn't during our stay which was a pain we ended up paying alot for extra data. We checked the WiFi connections and they were not set up correctly we did mention it to the host who advised it was a BT problem. Some of the play equipment was broken and the amount of flies in the cottage was horrendous, they really got to us by the end of the week. If there was better attention paid to cleaning the cottage and the flies dealt with aswell as WiFi fixed (or not advertised as having it) we would have probably booked again as it was perfect for the children.

The property is spacious and comfortable.. Beautifully decorated throughout, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners have definitely gone the extra mile to make this a very high spec holiday experience. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the beautiful Perthshire countryside.

The cottage is extremely well equipped and is very clean.. The beds were comfortable and the welcome hamper a lovely extra. This was great for my husband, who has severe mobility issues, our 2 year old grandson and our dogs. There are play facilities and walks around the adjoining field gives the opportunity to view the donkeys, the alpacas and the pygmy goats. Lots of things to do within easy access and some excellent places to dine locally.

What a wonderfull place My Wife & I had the pleasure to stay here in June, The accommodation was spotless, everything you could need Whilst on holiday was there. There was a welcome basket with goodies a bottle of sparkling wine Their own Lable very nice it was too. The bedroom downstairs was exeptionaly large super kingsize bed 2 Club seats a table & usual bedroom fitments, Large bathroom with power shower & bath. I could not get upstairs but wife told me the 2 ensuit berooms were very well equipped also. John came to greet us as we arrived as Ailene had taken the allpakers to a show. When she got back she came to meet us, told us if there was anything we wanted That was not in the cottage to let her know. Their house is just across the courtyard but this is no problem as they use the front of their home. There were rabbits on the front patio & drive, in the field at the side of drive in the Evenings the Deer came down. Very well situated for Glamis castle Scone palace Dundee Cairngormes ballater etc. Not too far for a day to Aberdeen. THIS IS A CREDIT TO THE OWNERS Thank you Harry & Ann

We had a great holiday at Lon Cottage. I was with my wife and disabled sister and because the cottage is so spacious she found using her wheelchair very easy. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. It was very relaxing with lots to see and do. We will most definitely be coming back.

The location was just what we were looking for; rural enough to be very pretty but close enough to Blairgowrie to be able to get provisions and have a nice restaurant meal. The house is full of everything you may need and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what might be needed. The house was super cosy and a nice comfortable size for our needs.

Situation of the cottage and ease of access to surrounding countryside. Cottage was very spacious and all the controls of the heating system/showers/kitchen appliances were very easy to use. The owner was very nice and welcoming. Our daughters enjoyed the access to the animals (miniature donkeys, lamas) on the farm. Great walks nearby for our dogs.

We loved this cottage, it is cosy, comfortable and in a perfect place to explore the region. My father, who requires easy access accommodation was very warm and comfortable with all the facilities he needed. Our puppy was not just tolerated but actively welcomed by the owner who was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, a fabulous place - we will definitely return and recommend to friends.

In 50 years of renting holiday houses this was clearly the best experienced by our party. We found the house and contents amazing. A welcome pack was away beyond the norm if any in holiday lets. Both the proprietors were most friendly and welcoming people.
