October 2020
This was one of our most relaxing holidays in years.. The cottage was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Then, masses of really stunning scenery and lots of places to visit notwithstanding Covid restrictions. We particularly loved the Ford and Etal estate. We will be returning.

Absolutely lovely little lodge and the friendliest of hosts! It was out of the way enough from the hustle and bustle of life whilst still close enough to do all sorts of activities in the surrounding areas.

We booked the lodge for a week but cut it short by 2 days due to bad weather plus we'd seen all we wanted to see.. The lodge was lovely everything you would need..The only thing was is that the owner came around to say we'd left the 2 side lights switched on for the past 2 days..we thought my gosh anyone would of thought they were flood lights when they are the most dimish lights.. we"d paid for this lodge and all facilities etc in with the price and so be if the lights had been left on or not we'd paid for this.. apart from this all was ok and nice..

Only one complaint about Little Gem! There is so much to do and see in the area that a week's visit only scrapes at the area. From the minute I saw Little Gem on Syke 's website I was excited looking forward to our stay and it never disappointed. Above all impressed with the clean lines and attention to detail, and layout! A lovely property. One we would go back to. Val & George very friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive. We had a great week.

Great place to base yourself from for exploring the Borders.. However if the weather is good and the sun is shining stay put and enjoy the comfort of the decking around the Lodge. Lovely local walks for the dogs and finish the walk off with a nice coffee at the cafe nearby. Really enjoyed the week would do it again.

Clean! Oh the deaminess of clean! So lovely! Lovely welcome basket which was a treat after a long drive. I was a bit worried because of where it initially was but being able to leave the dog out for a pee and a paddock out the back, just made this so much less stress with the hound. Really central and the best gluten free pizzas just up the road in St Boswell’s. Warm, cosy, and the best shower in the world! Thank you!

October 2018
The property was compact but very comfortable and very well equipped in a fascinating and lovely part of the U.. K. There is loads to see and do in the area. We were lucky enough to see owls, hares and otters in or by the magnificent Tweed. The owners live in the adjoining property and were friendly and welcoming. Should point that the ensuite bathroom is the one with the walk in shower and not as described on the website.

Excellent lodge where the owners had ensured the property had everything to ensure comfort.. Lodge is is in an excellent place to explore the Borders. Lodge is at back of owners bungalow - whilst they gave us a warm welcome and a couple of visits to give necessary info during our week, they kept their distance. Lodge definitely worth a visit
