First off it might help to know we spend 1 - 2 months every year in the UK, mostly staying in self-catering so we have a lot of experience. This place had everything we needed. We cooked for family and had all the utensils and tools necessary including good quality pots and pans. The rooms were light and airy. The outside sitting area was warm and protected from the wind. Great to unwind and discuss the day's events with wine of course. The view from the field was special. In addition to the horses in the next pasture there were the crows each night, rabbits, deer, and a hawk. Shower was great, bed comfortable, and the owners were very sweet and helpful. Really hated to leave knowing our next stay would never live up to this one..

We spent an idyllic week here - originally booked to explore the railway nearby but even happier to find 40s weekend going on. The barn is a delight with all mod cons and many thoughtful touches, space for the dog to run and all spick and span inside and out - even barbecue facilities! Definitely recommend it. Be aware the roads around are country lanes and be glad you're here and not bringing a caravan! Shops are in Taunton and Bishop's Lydeard. Not the village. Plenty of farms shops in the area too.

First class accommodation, which is one of the best equipped we have been in, including a clean kettle bbq with ample charcoal.. There were fresh provisions in the fridge and a lovely home made banana and pecan cake on our arrival. The location is peaceful and relaxing and the owners very welcoming, without invading our privacy. We would thoroughly recommend Little Fulford barn to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

When we had to cancel taking our dog just two weeks before our holiday the Sykes representative I spoke to had no hesitation in confirming I would be reimbursed this element of the cost.. Account was credited within a few days.. As for the facility this was excellent, well equipped, spotlesly clean with owners close at hand very helpful. Highly recommended.

The owners, Mr and Mrs Clarke, were very pleasant and helpful.. A very nice cake, baked by Mrs Clarke, was awaiting our arrival. The cottage was very well appointed and situated in a good place to explore the Quantock Hills and beyond. We rarely holiday in the same place twice, but if we did decide to return to this area we would not hesitate to book Little Fulford Barn again.
