Didn't quite know what to expect, but I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations- The cottage had everything we needed- fully kitted out kitchen with dishwasher; we had access to the washing machine and drying room (where we safely stored our bikes). Seems that the current description of the cottage is not up todate on the website- there was in fact excellent wifi in Lily cottage. Finally, water pressure and hot water in the shower was also excellent (thankfully not one of those flimsy electric heaters which barely warm up). Location- You won't be able to walk out or cycle out from the cottage but as long as you don't mind driving out, this will not be a problem. No issues for us- location was perfectly placed for day trips (which we did) to Llyn Peninsula, Aberglaslyn, Beddgelert, Llanberis and Cwm Idwal. There were also excellent cycle routes from Caenarfon (which is just 5 minutes away by car). Since we've been back, we've recommended Lily Cottage to numerous friends- will definitely stay again when we return to North Wales!

The property owner was very welcoming which makes such a difference.. The farm was beautifully kept and not a blade of grass out of place. We were very impressed. The courtyard the property was in was lovely with a couple of old fashioned street lights in the middle giving a very homely touch. The property itself was very easy to find with the approach giving the appearance that we would expect. All in all a very good holiday and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.

Such a lovely cottage and beautifully kept surroundings , everything you could need and very good wi fi signal .. The host was very welcoming and although we didn’t need her for anything during our stay we knew how to contact her at any time . The cottage was so clean and all guidelines put in place for Covid ,very reassuring during this time . Would recommend for couples but also would be great for families to have a cottage each ! Brilliant location for visiting Angelsey ,Llyn peninsula and Snowdon .

The cottage was a well converted barn.. It was handy for Snowdonia but led out directly onto a busy lane so nowhere could be safely reached without driving. There was a lack of storage space and WIFI and telephone connection unreliable. Main deficit was lack of drying facility. The weather was much as one would expect (accepted), but towels and wet clothes could not be readily dried.

This cottage was excellent in every way - it was warm welcoming and attractive and had lots of lovely, homely features. Set on a farm, the whole complex was beautifully clean and well maintained, and there were many interesting curios scattered around giving the place character. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay. The owners made us very welcome and we were even befriended by her cat who spent several hours with us. As we are both disabled we found access to the cottage easy and the wet room an added bonus.

The cottage was just lovely. When we arrived we were so taken by the whole area. Very well maintained cottages and gardens. Being on the farm was so relaxing just sitting out in our wee private garden listening to the cows. Terrific central area for the whole of North Wales. Owner was lovely and helpful. Good laundry area and pool table room. The most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. No hesitation in recommending this cottage and the area.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and the lovely touch of a little welcoming refreshment of a Welsh cake with jam and cream! Also, as my wife is disabled, we very much appreciated the facility of a walk-in wet room for the shower.

Lily Cottage was very clean, nicely layed out, every item that you could think of was there in the kitchen, all you had to do was supply food and turn up. The location was very quite, but close enough to town if you wished to go and do shopping. I could not thought the anything, and i liked the underfloor heating in the cottage.

The cottage was in a good position for visiting many places of interests including steam railways, castles and National trust properties. It was a lovely welcoming property to come back to at the end of the day. The weather was good and we were able to have some meals out on the attractive patio in the sunshine.

A delightful 1 bedroom cottage in a quiet and peaceful location close to all that Snowdonia has to offer. The owner was very welcoming. A modern decor with all the mod cons to make our stay comfortable. I would stay here again on my next visit to Snowdonia.

Very enoyable stay. Lovely converted barn building in pleasant surroundings. Great location to visit mountains and coast especially for NT properties. Owners live on site and are available if you need them but the cottages are entirely self contained and private. Would definitely use them again if staying in this area.

June 2009
The cottage and surroundings are a delight. We were very satisfied and enjoyed our holiday all the more because of the high standard of the cottage. The situation is central for so many locations: beaches, mountains, mines and walks and we could make full use of our National Trust membership at the properties nearby.
