A great location for setting off to see the glory of the Dales.. However, like me after long walks in the glorious countryside, the property is showing it's age and would certainly benefit from a facelift!

Nice cosy cottage.. Well situated. Floors and carpets wernt too clean. Could do with a mop and a brush in the house.

Wonderful holiday even in awful weather conditions.. Everything expected from a village cottage holiday. A very compact clean and comfortable cottage with everything you need. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

This is the third time we've rented the cottage.. It's comfortable for two couples sharing and convenient for the village facilities and as a base for walking. It could probably do with a bit of redecorating here and there but we wouldn't want anything too spick and span with dog and muddy boots etc. Wifi would be useful as I run my own business but not essential. I guess the best recommendation is that we hope to be renting it again next year.

There were poblems with the heating and TV.. The former was solved after telephone conversations, the latter the owner came over next day and fitted new TV.

The photos were clever for example showing the kitchen by opening both doors and standing up the stairs to take the shot.. The freezer was in the out building across the patio. The kitchen is too small to be used regularly, especially for four people. The photos on the web site do not reflect the fact that this is a very small cottage. The room/building across the patio is not fit for purpose. It was not finished and very musty and damp smelling. There was no WiFi which is a first for us. No welcome pack and no wood. Positive points were that the cottage heating was effective and the cottage was warm. The beds were comfortable and the bedding of a high quality.

Very happy with the cottage.. In a very good position in Grassington village.Very clean and well stocked with kitchen appliances, crockery, etc. and very grateful for odd condiments and cleaning materials. Kitchen small ,but adequate, and a nice comfortable lounge area, with TV, DVD and video recorder and a nice selection of children’s videos, a few DVDs and a good selection of books and jigsaw puzzles. Ideal base for a weeks walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.

The cottage was perfect, ideal location, quiet and comfortable.. Disappointed that there was no hand soap, shower gel, shampoo etc and no spare bin liners. These items cost very little and we expect a starter set to be provided.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet residential part of the town.. All local facilities within walking distance & many walks straight from the cottage door! Cottage was cosy & warm with excellent facilities. Everything we needed & more was there. Hope to come & stay again.

The cottage was well-appointed and quite comfortable though personally I found the bed and pillows too hard.. The DVD player wasn't working and I would be grateful if you would pass this on to the owners as we did not have time to do this. Parking at the weekend was a real problem and for that reason I would not recommend the cottage to others.

Lane Fold Cottage held everything we could need for our stay in this most beautiful and hospitable area.. Having a second facility and shower was very handy for us two couples, and the location could not have been more convenient. The neighbors were lovely. We love Grassington, and the Cottage insured us a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!

This cottage was tucked away just off the main street of Grassington.. From the front door we walked the dog along cobbled streets and stone cottages fronted by displays of flowers. The local eateries were good too. After our daily trips further afield it was good to come back to Lane Fold Cottage.

The cottage was excellent - clean, comfortable, well equipped and really well located in the centre of Grassington.. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. A couple of bits of feedback that we hope are helpful. A knife sharpener would be useful in the kitchen. The drain by the kitchen door is fairly fruity and could do with some attention! None of the DVDs we tried would play in the machine (Video tapes were ok); we left a note for the housekeeper about this.

This is our second visit to this property.. It is comfortable and warm, but most of all it is an excellent location in the cente of Grassington and having great walks from the door.

This cottage is right in the centre of Grassington a few strides from local pubs, cafes and shops. There are great walks from the door. We have stayed here many times throughout the seasons and found it warm and cosy. The kitchen has been refurbished but still no dishwasher. Unless the bathroom has also had a refurb there is only a hand held shower that fits onto the taps. The second bathroom is in the out house across the yard. It's dog friendly and there is parking in the village.

This cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and relatively spacious. It is in a quiet position but only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. Grassington is a very attractive town with plenty of character and a good range of amenities. There is plenty to see and do in this area - even if you're not a serious walker or cyclist.

The cottage was spacious and very well equipped with dishes, cutlery etc. Sofas and beds were very comfortable. Both bedrooms are a good size and the living room is very welcoming and comfortable. The cottage is clearly well cared for and loved. A bonus is the extra shower and toilet in the room across the courtyard with the washing machine and space for muddy boots and wet coats.

The cottage was in a great location, with a short walk to the centre of Grassington. It was warm, comfortable and everything we needed was there.

Lane Fold Cottage was very well equipped and clean. The owners had also thoughtfully left books, jigsaws, board games and DVDs/videos for rainy days. The cottage was in a great position just off the main street where it was a bit quieter.

The posistion of the house was perfect for the village and going on walks. The beds were very comfy and the rooms light and airy. The sitting room was spacious and comfy. The dog was happy too! I could stay there again easily.

The cottage was cosy without being small and was very comfortable. We loved it and would definitely go back again.

The cottage was well equipped, and the owners thoughtfully provided lots of little things that you might forget. The cottage was in a quiet position off the main street, and once inside the cottage I enjoyed the silence. The village has a good assortment of cafes, pubs, a fish and chip shop, an Indian takeaway and is also served by Sainsburys and Tescos home delivery should you need it. Grassington is a lovely village with friendly locals.
