Dalwood is a village in the Blackdown Hills AONB in East Devon. It offers a pub serving food as well as a general store. Close by there is much to see including the well-equipped market town of Axminster and Honiston, as well as the beautiful coastline doted with popular spots such as Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed.

Angela and Steve's cottage is a great place to spend a week (or more!) away from everyday life. They are a lovely couple with a personal connection to this cottage which is warm, comfortable and amazingly spacious. They provide much information as to how to get the best out of your stay. The coastal towns and beaches are within easy reach, as are National Trust properties, RHS associated gardens, two great local pubs serving good food, the Seaton Tramway and much more than we could fit into a week's break! Thoroughly recommended.

We found this place peaceful and relaxing. Steve and Angela were very accommodating and friendly. The cottage was very clean with very good amenities. The garden was restful and a delight. The cottage is remote.

Lane End Cottage was the best holiday let we have stayed in.. Very comfortable,spacious and we wanted for nothing...it was ' home-from-home'....everything we needed was there.The cottage was situated in a lovely well kept garden....very peaceful,very relaxing.The owners,Steve and Angela, made us very welcome and they could not have been more helpful. We shall definitely be going back there.

We strongly recommend Lane End Cottage.. It is well equipped, and set in a beautiful and quiet location. Angela and Steve are the perfect hosts, and went out of their way to make us welcome. We plan to return.

Angela and Steve were fantastic hosts.. I received a very warm welcome - along with a goody tray of refreshments and wine! They visited daily to ensure everything was OK and that I had plenty of wood for the log burner - they even brought freshly laid eggs for me. Their visits were reassuring (particularly as I was on holiday alone and got was snowed in) - they were certainly not intrusive. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and cosy - even better than it looked in the photographs. The setting was very beautiful and serene, with pheasants and a plethora of small birds in the garden. My only criticisms are that the upstairs shower was not very powerful and had my husband been able to join me for the weekend we may have found the bed a little small - mind you, we are both fatties! The booking process and communication was simple. I would definitely recommend Lane End Cottage at any time of year and I hope to return soon.

A lovely cottage far from the madding crowd.. If you want beautiful peaceful surroundings in a snug little cottage containing everything you could possibly need and with delightful, attentive owners then this is the place to go. The weather was atrocious the week we stayed but it didn't matter, the cottage was spacious and the birds and wildlife kept us entertained during the week. A visit to the Royal Oak for a cream tea is essential.

This cottage gave me the peace and tranquility that i needed at the time to deal with some personal issues, the setting is peaceful and enabled me to relax, taking time to recover despite the blustery weather the distance to the coastal resorts is not to far The Hosts Angela & Steve are helpful and engaging without being over bearing. we will be back
