Mrs Thomas
June 2018
When we arrived at the cottage we had booked, after phoning the key holder twice and getting no answer, then he obviously turned his phone off! We arrived to find a family living in it and had been since February, they had a contract for another two and a half years! So after a three and a half hour drive, with two dogs in the car we had no where to stay!! Carol in whom I contacted in the office was helpful but obviously did not have a clue regarding the geography of the area we were in. We were very gratfull that she did manage to find us another cottage that would also take our dogs. But it was extremely remote and sincerely not one I would have chosen to book. We made the best of our very much needed week's holiday but the whole experience had left us extremely stressed and exhausted. The main reason we were going to Cong was to meet friends for dinner on Saturday (evening) they had travelled from he UK for the weekend. Due to the problem's we had to deal with we were over an hour late. The reason for us all meeting was for the first anniversary of a very dear life long friend who passed away in July 2017. A mass had been arranged for the Sunday morning in Cong. Everyone we met were appalled at what had happened to us. How was this allowed to happen? We would very much appreciate a response as soon as possible. Sincerely Margaret Thomas.
