Lackaghmore Cottage description

Holiday home
Lackaghmore Cottage is a single-storey, detached holiday cottage set 1 mile from the coast at Portnoo, County Donegal. With three bedrooms across the two floors including two doubles and a twin, this cottage can sleep six people. There's also a ground floor bathroom and a first floor shower room, along with a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and open fire. Outside is off road parking for three cars, plus a front patio garden with bench. Just one mile away is the spectacular coast of Donegal, and the Wild Atlantic Way can also be joined nearby, making Lackaghmore Cottage a fantastic Donegal base for your next holiday.

Area
A splendid village that time seems to have forgotten, Portnoo is famously known for its breathtaking Blue Flag beach at Narin, which is safely set in a cove and sheltered from the harsh elements. The vast expanse of sand which is set in a rural environment has been attracting holiday makers to its shores for years. The village has a fantastic local restaurant and pub to quench your thirst and appetite after a day in the salty sea air.

Region
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

It is a really nice cottage in absolutely fantastic location! The cottage is very well equipped and has everything to offer! The only suggestion: new mattresses are recommended, as the old mattresses are very worn and uncomfortable.

Lovely cottage.. A little further from the beach than we thought but please do not let that put you off. The beaches are endless and when we were there really quiet. As the house is set on a hill you get amazing views around the coast. and the lanes around the cottage are great to walk the dog. Tramore beach in Ross beg and walk on to Sheskinmore nature reserve is well worth a visit.
