Property Description

Keeper’s Cottage is snugly nestled beneath the magnificent Ardnaumrchan Lighthouse, proudly stood at the very end of the Peninsula as the most westerly point on the British mainland. Built in 1849 from granite sailed in from the Isle of Mull, the lighthouse was designed by Alan Stevenson, uncle of author Robert Louis Stevenson, and towers majestically fifty five metres above the sea. With the opportunity to spot minke whales, dolphins and basking sharks in the seas below and a variety of bird life, including golden and sea eagles in the skies overhead, Keeper’s Cottage provides a spectacular and unique experience for those who like to stay somewhere a little bit out of the ordinary! On clear days be awed by breathtaking, panoramic views extending far out in every direction and on wild, stormy nights be exhilarated by the crashing waves and cosy up inside the safety of the thick granite walls. There is a lovely café and gift shop on site, with daily tours up the tower during the season. Tickets can be purchased from the café.
On one level: Kitchen with dining area, comfortable living room, one double bedroom with kingsize bed and one bedroom with bunk beds. Bathroom with bath with overhead shower, toilet and washbasin. Outside Area:
The cottage is situated in a courtyard and therefore does not have a private garden area.
