La Cala (VGM615)

If I was rating this with stars - either out or 5 or 10 - I'd give it ½ a star for location, and that's it!!! For 200Euros a night I would expect at least the place to be spotless - it was not! (3 members of the party were bitten by bedbugs! For 200Euros a night I would expect at least towels - if not also bed linen - there were none! For 200Euros a night I would expect answers to my emails regarding arrival times and the matter of towels etc - after a cursory intro email, I received none!

We had a wonderful holiday in this holiday home. The view is stunning. We enjoyed sitting outside on the beautiful terrace. There are plenty of places to sit, whatever you fancy. Shade, sun, windless, there was something for everyone. Access to the sea was also easily doable via a short climb. The house itself is simple but well-furnished. We didn't find a restaurant in Portobello. There was a small, but very expensive, shop.

We really liked the location and the furnishings. The cleaning was just inadequate. We were very pleased with the surprise package. The support before checking in by Interhome Olbia was very helpful and very friendly :-)

Impossible to have contact on site, neither on arrival nor during the stay, this contact is useless!, problem of electrical juice course with the gas stove and the washing machine. 1 hour to find the house because no one accompanies you ... The coffee maker does not work, it's a shame for the price ... we have to manage (hence my title). Apart from that the house is very simple but well located, and the Portobello site

The house benefits from its exceptional location right by the sea. When there is wind or waves, it may not be possible to swim in front of the house as the shore is very rocky. The house needs to be renovated. The kitchen is old and a bit dirty. The beds, seat cushions, deck chairs with pillows urgently need replacing. We didn't have WiFi. The complex is very well maintained and quiet. There is only one restaurant etc. in the complex, otherwise they are scattered around the area.

We have spent a nice week. The accommodation is in a wonderful location and has everything you need. Nevertheless: You can hardly operate an electrical appliance in the kitchen without getting an electric shock! The installations are so old it's just plain dangerous! The kitchen and furniture are URGENT to be renovated/replaced. Sacks should be made available for the extremely tedious waste disposal.

The house was as described. The location right on the sea is unique. The towels booked were partially perforated cleaning rags. But that's probably not the fault of the homeowner. There are plenty of ants in the house, but they could always be eliminated with chemical clubs.
