Iron Coil is set in a famous building, the Casa de los Caracoles. That translates to House of Snails, but rest assured, it’s for the decorative ironwork on the façade, nothing else. The living room opens on to a balcony, with sliding doors that seem more reminiscent of Los Angeles than Barcelona. The furniture isn’t quite on the same level as the structure itself, but even so, with that terrace, and that view, it’s hard to complain too much.
Home truths: *The bedrooms are fairly small, without much storage space
*As many as six people would be sharing one bathroom
*The building has a rule that you don't make noise after 10pm
*Some of the furniture's lovely but some of it isn't as high quality
*The kitchen's a little bit rundown
