Kerry in the south-western region of Ireland is known for the some of the most striking and iconic terrain in the country from rugged Atlantic ocean coastline and mountains, some of the most scenic driving routes in the world and beaches that rival some of the best on the planet. The Ring of Kerry skirts the edges of the Iveragh Peninsula; Killarney National Park offers 10,000 hectares of forest and moorland trails including Torc Waterfall and Torc Mountain. The Irish language is spoken in Gaeltacht areas such as the stunning Dingle peninsula with the colourful town of Dingle and it’s foodie fame and nearby Slea Head with a golden beach around every corner. Towering Carrauntoohil is the country’s highest summit at 1040m and Kerry has 10 of Ireland’s highest peaks. The Skelligs are now famous worldwide for Star Wars and towns like Kenmare and Killarney are some of the most popular tourist hotspots in the country.
