Was very pleased with the location. Fantastic views over the lake. Very nice inside, slept well in comfy beds. The freezer was good and fridge and cooker clean. However the bath not cleaned properly and the outside of the Lodge needs attention. There were lots of cobwebs and dirt on the Patio, so cleaned it as best as I could, also had to wipe inside windowsills. just minor details, otherwise would have been a ten out of ten. All the wildlife coming on to the grass at the back of the lodge was amazing. The Swans brought their fluffy little ones and lots of other birds and ducks. Just straight down the road to local supermarkets. There is a nice feel to Pine Lakes and the pool very good also. For good Pizza try Popeyes take away in Carnforth, they also do good meal deals. We went to Carnforth Station and enjoyed the Heritage Centre, the volunteers there are very good. We will be booking here again as we enjoyed it a lot!

This is a disappointing experience, the view of lake would be beautiful, but windows so dirty could not see through, bed mattresses very uncomfortable, feel every spring, bathroom smells of dirty, had to buy products to mask smell, broken tiles in bathroom with mould in grout, outside decking, dirty rusty chairs and table with tin foil covering top, Expensive , dirty experience. The park is beautiful

The lodge is so cosy and has everything you need for a break with family or friends. Located right on the lake and the pool, shop and bar are only a short walk away. Great location to explore the Lake District and the resort is lovely. Would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a peaceful break.

Spoke to you to on after we arrived, not impressed, front door blind not working, 3 window blind rods missing.. Washing line in bathroom has no attachment to fit to wall. One and a bit toilet rolls, I think this could be more generous. Also a couple of small guest soaps would be appreciated. Not everyone expects to have to bring these items, kitchen roll would also be appreciated. But after moaning about this, it was an improvement on last year's visits and the selection of tea and coffee

My partner and I took our two 3-year olds to Hope Lodge for a holiday away. We were amazed to see how beautiful it was. A lovely little cabin right on the lake side and both us and the kiddies had a great time. There is an open kitchen/ longe/ dining space with big french doors that allow us to do the everyday routine of breakfast and dressed while watching loads of ducks, geese and swans! And check out my photo to see the sunset from right outside! The one and only thing I would have wanted more was a freezer compartment, however I have just spoke to the owner to book again and she’s had one installed! I now cannot fault the property! There is a swimming pool and gym on site, mini-gold and a little park for the kiddies. There is also a mini-arcade and indoor play area for the kids. So much to do. In nearby Carnforth there is plenty of shops (Aldi, Tesco and Booths) to pick up the necessaries, and being right on the edge of the lakes the lodge is only a couple of miles away from Lancaster, Keswick, and Windermere. For any keen divers, Capenwray is less than a 5 minute drive. Highly recommended!

Arrived at the cabin to find the place filthy, contacted lakes, a cleaner came and did her best but the place is so dated, the oven was full off grime with a dicky door so couldn't be used. A bed had been clearly slept in when we entered so we took the key with us instead of using the key safe, we unfortunately lost the key only to find no spare was at reception so a locksmith had to be called, we left 2 days early after a total nightmare, we have since received a £72.00 refund, peanuts. Terrible experience...never again...

The positioning is great, love looking out over the lake.. Nice having the washing machine and dishwasher but didn't use them, would prefer to have a freezer (we have a caravan and have an excellent under counter fridge/freezer). Did have an issue with access to leisure centre as on previous visit we had a card for entry but there was none this time. Leisure centre also closed early (2.30pm) on the Sunday which was really disappointing. I checked at reception who confirmed that facilities were included in our booking, however, staff at leisure centre could find no record of it and were reluctant to let us in. This dampened the experience a little. However, overall a lovely lodge, homely and cosy. This is our second visit and we would return in an instant, in fact kids were in tears leaving!

The lodge has had a new kitchen since we were there last but I am staggered that there is no freezer not even a small compartment in the fridge.. We couldn’t even have some ice in our drink. Apart from that the lodge is in a lovely setting and is very comfortable. Pine Lake itself is beautiful and clean with an excellent restaurant.

The lodge was in a lovely location, quiet & peaceful.. Thought the lodge itself could do with a bit of an update, very dark inside and the lighting was poor. Found it so strange, in this day & age, that there was no freezer compartment in the fridge. Must be very difficult for people with children, who maybe can't afford to eat out every night. Think this is something the owner should consider. We would return to Pine Lodge but maybe not that particular lodge. Obviously the Lake District was lovely, amazing scenery and some quaint pretty villages.

The lodge was lovely, could possibly do with some updating and better heating for the colder months.. Especially for people with very young families. Borrowed a heater from reception.

The location was perfect. It had a slightly sheltered aspect, hedged in by shrubs and trees, and was which was great for privacy and it was closer to the water than previous lodges. It was like our own little front garden and the gorgeous view from the balcony made for a very peaceful break. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy; fully equipped with all electrical gadgets and the WiFi was a bonus. Beautiful pool and great leisure facilities, especially the water sports ( which we were content to just watch_ but maybe next time). The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely The Lake, Windermere and Bourness were within easy reach. Altogether, a fantastic, extremely relaxing week. We didn't want to go home and will definite lay be visiting again.

We are currently at Hope Lodge, on our honeymoon. We have had an amazing holiday. The lodge is beautiful, spacious and welcoming. Great facilities, with everything you need. Breakfast on the balcony has been the highlight of our mornings. The site has everything you want. Bar, restaurant, entertainment, water sports and much more. Only a short drive from The Lakes, Morcombe & Blackpool. Walks around here are fantastic. We have had the honeymoon we had wanted and more. Thank you to the lovely owners of Hope Lodge & Pine Lake resort. We would love to stay here again. Love Jamie & Emily.

The location was peaceful and a good central base for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The lodge was functional but the beds could do with mattress toppers as they felt very firm! There was no welcome information which meant that we had to 'find our own way' around the facilities at the lodge. The wildlife - ducks, geese and swans were overly friendly at times but I suppose that is what you get when you stay overlooking a lake! The swimming pool on site was good but the experience spoiled by children dive bombing into what is a relatively small pool, but the crazy golf was a good laugh! The on site restaurant was good but slightly over priced for the standard. Overall good, adequate holiday accommodation but definitely not outstanding or special.

Just back from a weekend away at Hope Lodge. The lodge was great value for money that had great views across the lake August bank holiday was chilly in the evening but the lodge had excellent heating so we were toasty warm in the evening watching the sunset over the lake. The free WIFI was also an added bonus. Ideal location great facilities on site would recommend the water sports the kids loved it! Very comfortable and great value for money would definitely recommend for that perfect get away retreat.

We've been to Pine Lake on several occasions previously so knew the basics of what to expect. Unfortunately the expectation didn't quite match during this visit. We arrived at 8.30pm and it was obviously dark and cold. The directions to the cabin were easy to follow and the key easy to find. We took a torch to find the key as we knew we were going to be late. So we'd like to pass this tip on to others. On entering the cabin it was very cold and we had two children with us aged 10 and 7 so this made us more consious of the temperature. There wasn't an electric fire to turn on but we did find a fan heater in the store cupboard eventually. The furnishings, beds and bedding were of an acceptable standard but not outstanding. We planned cereal for breakfast but unfortunately couldn't find any dishes and several other items of crockery, cutlery and glasswear seemed to low in quantity too. Later on we looked in the dishwasher and almost fell backwards with the unpleasant smell, on closer investigation we discovered it was full of dirty crockery etc. We also eventually found a sheet of paper explaining the heating for the cabin. The sheet was mixed up with other sheets of paper completely unrelated in a plastic sleeve in the bookcase. We did complain to reception about the dishwasher fiesco and they did say they'd pass this on. On a positive note, the location is great, the childrens aminities good, the swimming pool very handy and lastly the resaurant excellent. We always eat there as it's convienant and reasonable. We never have any complaints about the food and all the staff in the bar and resaurant are very attentive.

This lodge was fantastic, it was the most perfect position and so peacefull. Great base to explore the lakes as only 20 mins away. I suggest a trip along Hardknott Pass for the experience! Great veranda to have your dinner on overlooking the lake. Neighbours were very friendly too, gave us some local advice. Very helpfull, even invited us to the owners anual bbq. Will definately be back.

Very comfortable lodge with excellent lake view. The lodge is well equipped for everything you could possibly need. The facilities at pine lakes are also excellent. Very child friendly resort with friendly reception staff. My only criticism would be the tv and stand in the lounge. The tv needs to be higher as you crick your neck looking at it near the floor. It could also be a bit bigger. Everything else is excellent and you want for nothing in terms of household facilities. The balcony could of done with a good sweep as there was lots if cobwebs and dust.

We booked family holidays in the begining of april, hoping the weather will be warm and we could enjoy the outdoor activities. It was +5 +7 outside, but mainly sunny. Beatiful scenery, our lodge sitated only 1-2m away from the lake. The lodge was very well presented with 2 bedrooms: double and twin beds. Very clean, warm and cosy. Also we went to swimming pool. Kids enjoyed it. At reception you can spend some time in the caffe and there is an entertaining room with games for children. Would come again.

We rented this property for 3 nights and could not believe how lovely it was. The location was perfect and the property itself was stunning. There was nothing we could fault during our whole time there, apart from the weather. We stayed 10th - 13th March and would defiantly go back during the summer. Great location and great people on site also. The review of the property itself was spot on, couldn't of asked for more. Thank you for a great weekend break!

The cottage was very well laid out and everthing we needed was there. Nice to have a restuarant so close and the shop was nice to have as we did forget some things. Wished they had Sky TV but otherwise a very nice venue and lovely views and peaceful! Close to all the interesting places to visit as well!

We had a wonderful time at Hope Lodge. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. It was lovely and clean and everything that you needed was there. The neighbours were really helpful and friendly. (Could have done with a frying pan and a spatula in the kitchen though) but otherwise we would absolutely come again and reccmmend to others. Mrs a Daly

My family and I had a wonderful three day break here, couldn't fault the resort or the lodge, which was in a fantastic location right on the lake.Unfortunately the weather wasn't as wonderful, but you expect that in Britain in the summer, and there was plenty to do on site, and the pool and steam room was well used. All in all I would thoroughly recommend pine lakes to anyone who wants quiet location with easy access to the motorway.
