· We had a very comfortable 1-week stay at Holly Farm Cottage.. The farmhouse is in a beautiful area of the Welsh countryside, a short drive from many scenic spots and also reasonable driving distance from the Hay Festival. The hosts live in the adjoining cottage, they were friendly and respected our privacy. We enjoyed the views from the bedrooms with rolling hills and cute sheep enjoying the sun, and the large outdoor hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evenings. The cottage is spacious and was immaculately clean upon arrival. Our hosts had thought of everything, the cottage has all the cooking equipment you might need, extra towels for the hot tub, even a medical kit for a friend who cut her hand. It's located on a working farm, and we found it very interesting watching the sheep get sheared from the windows! Overall we felt very at home in the cottage and would stay again. · The WiFi signal is very weak in the cottage and didn't reach all the bedrooms, which may be an issue if you intend on spending a lot of time indoors. This was not a big issue for us, however, and everything else about our stay was perfect.

Loved our stay and are hoping to book again for Summer 2020.. Cottage is really comfortable and we absolutely loved the retro style and antique furniture. Area is quaint, quirky and totally unspoilt.

Property needed some updating but once use to the old furnishings it adds to the charm.. Beds were not very comfortable and were put off that the owner let them self into the property un announced on the first day so made sure we kept door locked at all times. That said they were nice people and helpull. Kept us topped up with wood for the fire as the house was quite cold at night with it being -3 degrees. The hot tub was lovely and warm and had large towels provided for us. The kitchen was well equipped and lounge and bedrooms had a beautiful view. Location was a bit remote if you wanted to walk for dinner as we had kids so ate in most nights. On the other hand they had a great soft play barn called Quackers that is a 5min drive so great for kids age 1-10. Over all we enjoyed our stay and owned made some lovely cakes for out arrival and fresh flowers in the lounge so nice personal touch.

Very welcoming owners.. Close if needed but not obtrusive. Wonderful cottage with everything we could need. Welsh cakes on arrival were the best we have ever tasted! Hot tub enjoyed by everyone throughout the week. Excellent Wi-Fi. Great sized cottage and lovely setting. Sitting in hot tub watching stars come out was blissful. We travelled about to different places (Hay-on Wye, Hereford, Aberwistwyth,) as well as enjoying local amenities such as Red Kite feeding and horseriding and local pub/restaurants. We had a great family holiday with party members between 10-76 years of age. Would recommend Holly Farm Cottage to anyone. Great place and hosts.

A comfortable, warm and spacious property where you can relax in a peaceful location in a beautiful part of Wales.. It was so good to have a well looked after hot tub and the Welsh Cakes on arrival were the best we've ever had! The owners are lovely and full of ideas on places to go. Definitely book for the Sunday carvery at the Golf Club in Llandrindod Wells before you leave home as it's always busy and the food is amazing!! We definitely hope to return. A fabulous find

We LOVE Holly Farm Cottage ! Beautiful cottage and location - so peaceful and tranquil. Ruth and Mervyn are the perfect hosts and go above and beyond - the cottage caters for your every need - even down to the little details - a true home away from home. We loved exploring Wales and we really didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home. We will be returning to Holly Farm Cottage without a doubt.

Accommodation and location fabulous.. Mervyn and Ruth made it home from home, especially with homemade Welsh cakes and everything we could have needed already there. The hot tub was such a winner with all of us, especially the children, sat in the rain in the hot tub in February. Will definitely come back.

Very nice and exceptionally clean cottage with everything you need and a very friendly and helpful owner.. Patio is a great sun trap and quite private. Good quality charcoal BBQ and also Chiminea. Internet a little inconsistent but mobile data also possible in the cottage so not a huge problem. Quiet location but 5 minute walk to Thai restaurant and Pub in the village. Beautiful Elan Valley less than 30 minutes drive away. Llandrindod Wells is close by with a big Tesco and is suprisingly "grand" for such a small town.

We were happy with the accommodation and every appliance worked including the Wi-Fi.. Couldn't fault the cottage really as it was clean and had a well equipped kitchen. Lounge had comfy armchairs and sofa. Both showers worked with sufficient water pressure. An enjoyable stay had by all.
