Local National Trust properties include Cotehele, Lanhydrock, Saltram and Anthony House. The ancient stannary town of Tavistock and the bustling market town of Launceston, with its original Norman castle, are close by. Family attractions include Morwelham Quay, Tamar Trails Centre, Adrenaline Quarry, the Monkey Sanctuary, Hidden Valley Discovery Park, St Mellion Golf Course & Spa and the Dartmoor Mystery Treasure Trail.
