Within the village is a good selection of shops and eateries, as well as the area being perfect for keen walkers, bikers and nature lovers. Visit both Scarborough and Whitby for a coastal day out as well as a wide selection of attractions to suit all tastes, while all of Pickering, Malton, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley make wonderfully idyllic days out too.
