We really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the accommodation and the area.. Easy to get to interesting places around the area. The owner was extremely friendly and cautious.

Absolutely beautiful bungalow.. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need.well adapted for people with mobility issues.wide doorframe and plenty of room for wheelchairs walkers etc. Very quiet rural location so really a car is needed. Would def recommend this bungalow to anyone xxxxxxxxxx

Very spacious bungalow for our 90 year old zimmer using parents.. The Wet room was well enjoyed and plenty of space in the kitchen. Quiet location but handy for Burnham, Wells & Glastonbury. We took bed rails & a commode and were able to accommodate these in the bedroom. If we went again we'd take seat cushions as we had to use the wheelchair cushions to get a bit of extra height. As we could only go out every other day, we did a lot of cooking in the cottage and did buy a small roasting tray for puds & lasagne & a pudding basin for puds & veg in the microwave. There was a slow cooker which would have saved us taking ours. We couldn't find a whisk and the tin opener had seen better days but overall well equipped. Plenty of towels and washing machine works well. wifi from owners bungalow a bit patchy as is phone signal on 3. We'd certainly go again and parents thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent there.

The accommodation was fantastic, the only criticism I have is I felt the tv was not large enough for the size of the room but all in all a great place to stay.. Thanks to Anita for all her efforts in making our holiday one to remember.

The bungalow was nice and roomy ,but unfortunately Very dated and dirty ,The beds were comfy and clean ,as was the lounge .. But the wet room was in dire need of a refit ,the shower head was covered in black mould ,and the whole room was grubby ,The kitchen was really dirty ,The stainless steel sink was just dark brown with tea stains ,the oven shelves were brown with dirt ,the plastic table cloth was covered in stains ,all the pots and pans were old and dirty ,we didn't cook anything at all there ,despite the fact that we were planning a self catering holiday , It was such a shame because with some care it could have been a lovely bungalow

It had all we wanted and needed, the beds were very comfortable, nice ambience, we wanted a few days to have my family all together, to have fun and make memories, as unfortunately, this has been diagnosed as our last Christmas together with my husband, this we were able to do.. The pub "the duck", was superb and just walking distance too. Thank you, to you all for your help.

Great accommodation for the disabled of whom my wife is one, Very clean, tidy and cosy, due to the diligence of the wonderful Anita and crew.. Lovely location with many super places to visit, and lots of good places to eat. Even the Autumn weather was beautiful for our weeks stay. Cannot recommend highly enough. Wonderful.

We had 2 wheelchair users with us and this accommodation was perfect for our needs.. After previous disappointing holidays. Sykes cottages have restored our faith in actually believing that the perfect accommodation is out there. It tucked all the boxes and We are looking forward to returning many times in the future.

It was a lovely holiday, the cottage had everything we needed and more very disabled friendly.. An amazing wet room. Anita met us on our first evening and made us feel welcome. Very central for a lot of places to visit lots of nice food places. But we loved the King William Inn in Catcott a village about 5 miles away. Lovely food and friendly staff. The Duck pub is really close but it gets really busy and we weren't able to get a table. All in all a lovely break.

Although the property itself was fine, the outside areas left a lot to be desired; the parking area was unsightly and weeded over, more like the back of a building site.. The recreation area at the back of the property was covered in dead leaves, the table and chairs had to be thoroughly cleaned before they could be used and the BBQ was very old and rusty and was full of water so could not be used! This was a bit let down which could easily be put right with a bit more care and attention.

The house was in just the right location with so many places to visit within easy reach.. The owners could not have been more helpful to me. The Swan pub at the end of the road served excellent food reasonably priced with its staff giving the best of service that one came to appreciate over the course of the holiday. All that remains is to thank Sykes and everyone else for making a nice weeks holiday for me after having such a traumatic past year.

The bungalow was very clean and it had everything we/or anyone would need.. The beds were very comfortable. I really liked the personal touches such as fresh flowers, milk and a cake which was left for our arrival. The owner was a really nice lady who was very friendly. Would book with Sykes again without hesitation

The cottage was so spacious my daughter who is in a wheelchair had no problem moving freely around the whole cottage. The kitchen was extremely well equipped you could not ask for anything more. The location was so peaceful and the private patio at the rear was a sun trap even though we went early in the year. We will definitely be returning for another holiday there.

Had two cottages - fantastic location and wonderful that our small children could go from cottage to cottage with no problem with traffic. Both well equipped and lots of little extras in the fridge and store cupboards! Nothing was too much trouble and everyone very friendly.
