The River Deben winds its way inward from the Suffolk Coast, leading to the lovely town of Woodbridge. Rich in history, this spot offers a perfect mix of antique charm and modern sensibility. We believe that Woodbridgerton does the same. This traditional townhouse has been updated with such care. The kitchen is sleek, white and equipped with state-of-the-art appliances. Spacious and light, the living room is warmed beautifully by a wood-burning stove. (The over-sized sofa is definitely calling our name.) Each bedroom offers clutter-free comfort – just promise not to fight over the one with a lovely balcony. Best for last: The hosts hired an award-winning landscape architect to redesign the outdoor courtyard. It's now a gorgeous, private patio and garden, complete with a barbecue and dining area. So, if you decide to spend nights in at Woodbridgerton, even though pubs, cafes and restaurants are steps away, we'll never tell.
Home truths: *The Wi-Fi connection is adequate, just not as speedy as in more urban centres
*This home doesn't accept pets
