August 2020
Lovely cottage in a fabulous spot, warm and comfortable, a few little niggles .... Lovely cottage in a fabulous spot, warm and comfortable, a few little niggles but nothing serious, bigger bathsheets would be nice, shower head a bit loose and toilet seat, small plates were very small as were bowls, but like I say only niggles, generally was fabulous and would love to go again

Third time at white rock cottage and as always enjoyed our time in this lovely cottage.. Very comfortable with everything you could need. Will definitely be returning. An added bonus would be to have a larger table outside on the patio as before , the one supplied now is too small for having dinner on.

White Rock is a lovely little gem of a cottage.. Everything in the cottage has been done to the highest of standards which along with the brilliant views of the sea, helped towards having a fantastic week's stay. 5 star cottage in a 5 star location.

The cottage was beautiful, extremely clean and tidy.. Attention to detail was second to none,a bottle of milk in the fridge.a bag of goodies containing xmas shortbread jam, honey, cheese etc.Even a xmas card! The view from the cottage was stunning, and if you like peace and quiet from a frenetic lifestyle at home this is the place for you.I was very emotional leaving such a fab cottage and lovely part of the world .The Craster Arms gave us a great xmas dinner too.Within walking distance from the cottage.

Our 3rd stay at White Rock Cottage, love this place.. Wonderful sea views , well furnished , well equipped, and so cosy and warm. Set in a lovely location and near the beach it is a superb cottage.
November 2018
Fantastic cottage - the only criticism I could find is that the heating could do with going up a notch.. You can’t turn the thermostat up, and it was a bit nesh all week. Perfect in location and facilities within the cottage, but chilly.
Mr Scotcher

June 2018
White Rock Cottage was a lovely property, perfectly placed.. It's very close to the harbour, and close enough to the village, where there is a lovely pub and and café/bistro. Wonderful view of the sea - could see the waves rolling in when it was high tide. Very comfortable furniture, and all utensils, crockery and pans you could need in the kitchen. Very modern. One suggestion - need to update the visitor folder in the drawer. Some out of date information in there. Also, might be useful (but not essential) to include tide times for Beadnell & Holy Island?
Mrs Greening
May 2018
The cottage was lovely and the setting was wonderful so close to the sea and the patio area got the sun in the morning and late afternoon, so we were able to sit out and enjoy our breakfast in the sunshine and sit out with a drink in the evening.. The scenery along the Northumbrian coast is spectacular from Lindisfarne, to the Farne Island and the abundance of wildlife, to Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. So much to see and do, an amazing week!!

Although we had a nice stay ,we went when the so called beast from the east appeared.. We tried to come home early on the Thursday but got caught in a snow drift and had to be rescued by the fire service and tractors. We went back to the cottage where we phoned the owner who told us the next weeks visitors had cancelled. We left on the Saturday, though it was still a very fraught journey. Quite an adventure.

This was our 5th visit to Northumberland in 18 months and White Rock Cottage is most definitely the best property we've stayed in yet. As soon as we arrived it just felt like real a home from home; warm, comfortable and what a fantastic view through those french windows!!! Cottage is well appointed with all mod cons and parking is great, just outside the front door. Great spot for plenty of walks...Beadnell to High/Low Newton or catch the bus to Craster and walk to Dunstanburgh Castle then onto Embleton. Try the 'Greys Inn' (Embleton) for a nice pint and good food. All in all, a great little bolthole where you can lose yourself in the fantastic Northumberland coast. Well worth a return visit for us.
Mrs Hargreaves

We have always fancied a week at White Rock ever since we saw it built, and yes at last we have managed it, the weather was perfect all week, though very breezy on the Weds. This little cottage is very bijou, and ideal for two people, you have sea views from both the side windows in the lounge, and patio doors at the rear. When it got dark it was magic to just laze on the settee and watch the Farne Islands lighthouses winking away, and magical sky where you could see thousands of stars due to very little light pollution. The cottage was immaculately clean, a brand new bed had been delivered the day we arrived, and was sooo comfy. Furnishings were of very good quality, and underfloor heating with extra heaters provided if needed, but we certainly did not. The owner called to see if everything was alright, living in the village, and said if any problems to ring him, there were not. We loved our stay, and could not fault this beautiful cottage in any way, and do hope to return in the future.

From the minute we stepped into this wonderfully formed little cottage it was love at first sight!! Everything was spotlessly clean with high quality furniture and fittings throughout. It is a perfect cottage for two, ideally situated for fantastic walks along the coastline or just relaxing on the sunny patio with a glass of wine or two!! Would recommend to family and friends and we cannot wait to return.
