Wern Tanglas Cottage is a stone-built barn conversion in Newcastle-on-Clun, Shropshire. With two bedrooms, a king-size double and a twin, it sleeps four comfortably. There is also a ground floor bathroom with slipper bath, a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with coal-effect gas fire and a drying room for coats andboots. Outside is a garden with views of the owner's animals, and off road parking for two cars. Wern Tanglas Cottage is a lovely cottage for a small family or a couple.

Wern Tanglas is a lovely cottage.. .. Close enough to civilization to eat out and visit attractions but also sumptuously remote enough to feel that you are getting away from the rest of world. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. I understand the WiFi was down before our weekend but on the day of our arrival the owner was working hard to replace the wire and we had no internet issues at all during our stay. The owners were lovely and gave us free range across their property. We all loved the donkeys and the ponies- so friendly! And the dogs cuckoo and Myrtle are beautiful. Be ready to play stick with Myrtle! The cottage was easy to find from the directions... I only wish I was still there :)

Cottage is good sized, comfortable and warm but is a bit cluttered with a dated appearance.. Because the weather was unfortunately dismal when we stayed we felt the lighting in the cottage could be made brighter, with a better light bulbs in the dining area and lounge. Despite the best efforts by the host, and although we were offered use of the host’s wifi in their absence, wifi was unfortunately limited to standing outside only and maybe the description should include about lack of mobile coverage. Garden area is shared with the owners. No covered bike storage area available. Lots of useful leaflets and print outs of the local area were provided, but perhaps this could be presented better in a welcome folder with more info about the cottage and recycling. Host was very helpful and obliging and even gave us a lift into town. These are just suggestions not criticisms.

This warm & cozy cottage is in a beautiful & peaceful location, offering lots of walks straight from the front door.. Once back at the cottage there are the animals, each with their own quirky personalities, to entertain you. The owner, Geoff, provided a warm welcome (but isn't intrusive) and is on hand to provide lots of helpful advice on where to go & what to do in the area. A quick look through the visitors' book in the cottage indicates a lot of the guests to this delightful cottage have been before, and often several times. I will certainly be one of those people as I'm already planning to go back next year, hopefully twice (to catch the different seasons).

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely cottage.. The scenery was beautiful and the host was very helpful. Very peaceful area and great for wildlife and long walks in the countryside. We will certainly be returning in the future.

Had a great last minute trip away back to where my mum was brought up.. The cottage was just what we required for the weekend and well equipped. The owner was there if you needed him but also left you to get on with your weekend. We will be back soon for another stay.

The cottage is lovely and cosy, well equipped and comfortable.. The setting is stunning and peaceful with the only sounds those of the ponies and donkeys and the sheep on the hillside. There was no phone signal (who cares!) but the WiFi worked perfectly if needed. All in all a lovely, relaxing stay.

A lovely, quiet country retreat.. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and Myrtle the dog so gorgeous and silly. Only one thing missing, a shower overhead or free standing would have been great, but we did know before booking that this wasn't available. Highly recommended. Sue and Tim

This is a lovely cottage, bit old fashioned but cosy and comfortable. Very warm - fire not working but radiators nice and hot. Just the right size for the 3 of us. Brilliant dogs, donkeys, and geese. Some people may want total isolation, but in case you don't, WiFi available if you turn off the extension and stand in the 'porch' - we could also get phone signal standing outside but that may depend on your provider. DVD needs fixing. Owner helpful if needed but not intrusive. Lovely views, surrounding countryside is brilliant. Lots of quiet and stars available!

A lovely place for a quiet relaxing holiday.. Whilst we always had a WiFi connection it was rare to have a internet connection. This was not important to us but very intermittent internet connection may be a problem to others and should be mentioned in your listing

Lovely remote location with great walks straight from the door which was fantastic for us and our 2 dogs.. We really enjoyed being amongst the ponies, donkeys, geese and owner's dogs. The cottage is well equipped and although the internet reception was intermittent this only enhanced the relaxing tranquil environment. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. We've already booked again!

Having lost our original cottage due to Sykes inept communication we had to find a cottage ASAP as we were due to go the week later! ! Found this one but driving up noticed a lot of dog poo and geese poo! We didn’t realise there were geese. The furniture needs to be updated as it goes flat when sat on, the fridge/freezer is the tiniest one ever and the garden furniture is disgusting! No upkeep on it at all. Shropshire is beautiful but will go back to the original one we booked next time.

Nice base for exploring this area. Owner is very friendly as are his dogs. Cottage itself is nice if a little dated, but plenty big enough for 4. Sleep quality is great is the cottage is set back from the quiet lane it is situated in. Only one little critism is that the cottage name sign needs to be more prominent as it is easy to drive past and not see it.

The cottage was superb for the two of us plus two dogs.. Very comfortable and well equipped.We couldn't get wi-fi although there was a router in the kitchen but we could get a phone signal a short walk up the hill on the other side of the lane.Neither of these was a problem and it was nice to just have the peace and quiet of the location.Although a bit off the beaten track it was very easy to get around and we easily fulfilled our wishes to visit some National Trust properties,go carriage driving at Cavalry of Heroes,Whitney on Wye,see the Flying Scotsman on the Severn Valley Railway and revisit Ludlow including the castle this time.We really love the area and would definitely look to see if this cottage was available should we decide to go that way next year. Felt like a real cottage, not a holiday cottage. Homely and warm, plenty of hot water, etc. Great views. Horses and donkeys, dogs and chickens on the property. No WiFi meant a real rest! There is no mobile coverage also, but that proved to be an advantage too meaning one could really switch off. Nearest shop and pub were in Clun; charming village. Loved it! Didn't want to leave after our month's stay there!
