Great location and really friendly hosts.. Our visit was late September/early October 2020 during the Covid pandemic and the remoteness of the properties location felt great. We were very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation and the helpfulness of the hosts (our dealings were predominantly with Mike). We would normally eat out whilst on holiday but again due to numerous restrictions in the country we decided to eat in and again very pleasant surprised with having good quality kitchen facilities. The oven broke on the second day, was reported and replaced with a brand new one the following day which is nothing short of excellent. Our only negative was that the double bed was uncomfortable and we could feel the springs through the mattress which one of us became accustomed to and the other moved into one of the single beds in the other room and did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay and would gladly come back should the opportunity arise. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen if you keep your eyes open even on the journey from the main road to the cottage (stoats, rabbits, squirrels, stoat, pheasants and numerous other types of birds) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you very much.

Holiday was in a great remote location within easy reach of Hamsterley forest.. Michael and Graham were really nice hosts and we spent some nice time having some good conversations with each. Hosts were welcoming and attentive and available on site for questions or anything else. The log burner was great to settle down in front of during some mixed weather and gave out some good warmth. Thanks for a lovely stay for making our family break away a memorable one.

We had a fantastic time at Wear View Cottage, the location was beautiful and quiet.. Mike and Graham were very friendly and full of recommendations. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. The only thing that we struggled with was the garden wasn't enclosed but we managed to get around it with the great walks around the cottage. Definitely would book to stay there again

Your website and booking facilities are simple and straight forward.. The cottage was ideal for us although the bed was very uncomfortable but we worked around it. The local hosts were very ammenable.

The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped, the owners very helpful and nice, the only negative about this place is the mud track to reach the farm which is a nightmare for anyone not driving a 4x4 or at least a car with a high wheel base.. The narrow lane shared by farm traffic is full of deep pot holes and sharp stones which makes driving in and out a interesting experience. For this reason alone I would not recommend this property for anyone with a new car. But having said that the farm buildings are a fantastic escape for anyone looking for a relaxed holiday in very comfortable surroundings and the owner is a very friendly man.

Property was well situated with lots to do, but very isolated and quiet. Good standard. Nicely converted, in keeping and had comfy beds.

Het huis ligt afgelegen. Je moet een zandweg volgen (ong. 1 kilometer).

The cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing country holiday. The courtyard and outdoor seating area is a lovely place to relax and eat al fresco, and great for the children to play in view. Warm and cosy inside, with everything you could need for a perfect stay.

The cottage was absolutely lovely. The location was good if you wanted to get away from everything without being too far from the basics. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect for our family.

Very well situated for visiting lots of interesting places, even though our visit was in November there was still such a lot open that was interesting. There was a lovely cosy log burner to come back to at night time and it was very peaceful, had a fabulous time.

The owner, who lives in the farm house, was very welcoming and gave us good advice about where to eat and local attractions. The cottage was warm and cosy with the lounge being particularly spacious. There was plenty of hot water and the cottage was spotless.
