Within easy reach are the Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park and there are plenty of nearby villages to explore. Older children can enjoy mountain biking and pony trekking nearby on Exmoor. The house is ideally situated for discovering West Somerset and North Devon, with plenty of attractions to suit all tastes including the West Somerset Steam Railway, Butlins and the traditional seaside resort of Minehead. Dunster Castle and Porlock are well worth a visit. Venturing a little further afield you could visit popular towns including Lynmouth and Lynton with its funicular railway. Watchet is a perfect location for sea fishing, walkers and for observing the stars as is just on the edge of the Exmoor Dark Skies Reserve. On entering the house, you will find yourself in the light and welcoming kitchen/diner.
