The cottage was well placed in the area for walking and visiting local attractions.. There was plenty to see on our doorstep Rob and Lucy had made us feel welcome despite the Covid restrictions and a stiff door key was quickly fixed. Their personal touches made us feel welcome We would visit again.

As is usual with these sites, the description is a bit OTT (and there was no barbeque) but the cottage was delightful, well furnished and very comfortable.. There is a huge fridge and freezer and new appliances in the kitchen area. It is a shame that covid meant that any literature/maps of the area had been put away but wifi was excellent so we could look up what we didn't have with us. The patio was a good place to sit and read or just look at the beautifully landscaped grounds, and it was warm enough to eat outside in the evenings. The eggs given us by the owners (thank you. Three out of four were double yolkers!) provided an extra evening meal, when a violent thunderstorm prevented us from getting to Bishop's Castle for our dinner. There was a place to store our bikes.

Peaceful relaxing views across open parkland and trees up to the hills.. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of life come here. In view of current covid situation felt safe and owner provided sanitiser etc. Very comfy bed, spacious en-suite. National cycle route within a mile and just over border from Powys. As described plenty of places to visit around the area. Or spend time on terrace with good book etc.

We had a great holiday, staying in Walcott Farm.. It is in a beautiful house, which was well equipped in a beautiful quiet setting. An ideal base for walking, visiting beautiful villages and many castles. Would recommend the The Hundred House Inn - super food.

Walcott Farm is a lovely place to stay, it is very clean and well equipped and is situated in a beautiful part of the county of Shropshire.. We enjoyed a long weekend break. The only problem we had was with access to wifi and mobile phone signal as it is quite remote but not the end of the world for me!
