Property Description

Ventnor is a delightful small seaside resort with a range of interesting shops, excellent restaurants, public houses, wine bars and charming gardens. It has a secluded beach where you can enjoy swimming, paddling and fishing, and fresh fish can be purchased daily from the harbour. The location is renowned for its microclimate which allows exotic species of plants to grow and a number of these can be seen in the renowned Botanic Garden. There is a lovely coastal walk linking Ventnor with Shanklin and there are many beautiful walks further inland. The larger sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are just a short drive away, and you can also enjoy such hidden gems as Bonchurch and Steephill Cove. Built in 1866 by Captain Mark Huish, this fantastic property stands at the end of a small terrace of similar stone and flint houses, and offers sea views from the three upper floors. The main entrance, via an ancient gothic style front door, is on the first floor, where you will find the bright and welcoming lounge. With comfy seating, a traditional wood burner, Smart TV, Blu ray DVD and music system with Bluetooth, this is a lovely space to relax in at the end of a great day. You will also find a charming dining room where you can enjoy a meal in style. Heading down to the ground floor you will find a stylishly designed kitchen with an electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee maker. The freezer and washer/dryer are housed in a nearby utility area. There is also a ground floor WC. Stairs take you up to the second floor where you will find a master bedroom with a king size double bed and sea views, and an adjacent bathroom with a Victorian style bath on clawed feet, hand held shower, separate walk in shower and a WC. Heading up to the third floor there are two more lovely bedrooms. There s a double bedroom with sea views and a king size bed, as well as an attractive twin bedroom with 2ft 6ins beds for children.
