The lively coastal town of Ilfracombe is situated on a lovely length of North Devon coastline with five National Trust-owned beaches. Exmoor National Park, with its undulating hills and picturesque settlements, is only a short drive from Ilfracombe. Heritage harbour and Ilfracombe quay are stunning, with numerous bars, shops, and restaurants, as well as frequent live music, providing a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Take a wildlife tour, fishing trip, or boat ride to the enchanting Lundy Island, a haven of natural beauty.  Ilfracombe is the focal point of some of the greatest walking terrain in England; whether you like a stroll along the Capstone Hill promenade, the challenging seaside route, or the river basins and tranquilly of Exmoor's moorland hills, the scenery is breathtaking. The unusual communities of Lynton and Lynmouth with their clifftop railway are to the east of Ilfracombe, while Clovelly and Hartland are to the west.
