Tom's house is in a lovely location, high above the sea giving great views,
The property is really lovely very comfortable, clean and homely.. The owners are friendly and welcoming.
There is an array of animals belonging to the owners which were nice to see also .
We cannot fault the house or area
We was able to get out and about easily so it was a good base for visiting places
A lovely holiday

Mrs Black, August 2020
Tom’s House is a really well appointed romantic retreat perfect for couples.. Set in a rustic pretty working farm, the cottage has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. The bedroom is enormous with a super king sized bed. The owner is close by to help with useful local knowledge. The area itself is very pretty and we enjoyed a sunny Christmas Day in Watermouth cove and harbour.
Mr Hutchings, December 2019
A very pretty cottage, spacious, comfortable, well appointed and good ambience.. It was very well equipped and we were left a lovely welcome pack. The views are excellent and the owners very welcoming and helpful.
Mrs Chapman, October 2019
We were not greeted by Mrs Barten and as it was quite late when we arrived, due to traffic and not being able to locate the cottage, we were surprised that there was only a very small bottle of milk in the fridge.. Consequently at around 7 o/clock in the e being we had to drive (after 6 hours of driving) to find somewhere that sold food for morning breakfast. There were other small issues, but I would not go there again as the cottage was not in a situation for 80 year olds to walk. We left after 3 days.
Mrs Lynch, September 2019
Fantastic location, very very satisfied
Mr Harvey, September 2019
Tom's House was a wonderful find.. Excellent location for many parts of North Devon & especially for walking parts of the coastal path. The cottage was well equipped, clean, quirky & very comfortable. We had an excellent week & will certainly recommend this cottage to all our friends.
Mrs Lea, August 2019

Mr Grindle, July 2019
This was our third visit to Tom's and will not be the last.. The location, property, comfort and views are exceptional.
Mr Hill, June 2019
Great holiday home.. Tom's House was really lovely. Comfortable and the most amazing views. Owners really nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back again.
This is a lovely cottage, which is beautifully furnished.. The cottage was a retreat for Terry Thomas and there is interesting memorabilia on the walls. It is in a quiet, tranquil location which is perfect for rest and relaxation, with views of the sea and coastline. The owners are very friendly and leave a tasty welcome basket of goodies in the cottage for you. It has a garden area with a picnic table and two reclined seats, where you can eat or just sit and enjoy the birdsong and occasionally be entertained by the local chickens.
The local area is beautiful, with bays full of rock pools to explore and some very good eateries. Within short walking distance (though the walk back is uphill) is the Boat Cafe, where you can sample a delicious lunch or tea. It is only a short drive to Hele Bay and Ilfracombe for places to eat in the evening. I recommend the Hele Bay pub for excellent service and very nice food and the Grampus Inn in Lee, which is the other side of Ilfracombe, especially for a lovely lunch after exploring the rock pools in Lee Bay.
I would definitely visit the area again and stay in Tom's Cottage.
Mrs Radcliffe, May 2019
The cottage was quite charming with views of the sea.. The bedroom is huge and the bed is very comfy. Loved the memorabilia of Terry Thomas which is scattered around the cottage. You definitely need a car to get around and the cottage is up a steep hill so not good for people with limited mobility. Would recommend without hesitation.
We really enjoyed our stay and everything was marvellous, well done..
Beautiful quirky cottage in a wonderful setting.. Spent a week with amazing weather just down the road from the village where we lived for eleven and a half year. Had a great time catching up with all our friends and neighbours and revisiting all the glorious places in North Devon.
Mr Von Kotze
Perfect holiday cottage for our needs.. All equipment clean and easy. Owners very friendly and helpful. Set up to a very high standard.
Very warm cosy cottage, owners made us feel welcome..
This property is more spacious than appears in photos.. Amazing views. Very comfortable.
The cottage has fantastic sea views,is very well presented and clean and is an excellent base for exploring this area particularly if walking the coast path is something you enjoy.. The owners are very attentive and the flowers and treats on arrival are an excellent touch. Thoroughly recommend.
We thought the cottage was beautiful ,we drew up outside a rose covered cottage ,inside was charming and elegant ,the tiled stair case very inviting to an amazing bedroom ,with a stunning view ,filled with light .. Every day we were greeted by cocks and hens a ginger cat and a couple of grumpy geese .The walk to the harbour suggested by our hostess was a joy ,I don't think we could have had a more perfect holiday
This cottage has amazing views and the owner is most welcoming.. It was a perfect place to enjoy the Devon coast with walks close by. Peace and quiet and an amazing bedroom!
We had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful cottage with our 6 week old baby.. The views are incredible and being in the middle of a farm was lovely (chickens and geese outside your door!). It was also fantastic being able to get freshly baked pastries and bread at the campsite. The owners were incredibly helpful and really helped make the stat special. Would definitely recommend - we’re keen to return ourselves!
The holiday met all expectations of a Sykes holiday, we have used them before and know to expect quality.. The cottage was excellent, and the owmers were very friendly and keen to know that everything was ok, and we had no problems. The area provided plenty for us to do, mainly walking for us, but indoor activities too.
Very enjoyable holiday and location.. The accommodation very good standard with excellent sea views. Rather steep incline so only suitable to those who are fairly fit. Ilfracombe nearby and accessible by car. You can walk to the nearest restaurant but quite a trek. Costal path is 5-10 minute walk supermarket 15 minute drive.
Wonderful cottage with very helpful owners.. The cottage was comfortable and cosy. It was on a farm and sometimes the dogs were a bit noisy but overall a wonderful little place. The owners left gifts and there were fresh flowers in the lounge.
Lovely , clean and with great views
We were delighted with Toms House.. Great location. Amazing views. Clean, cosy and very comfortable. Superb super king sized bed. Sean and Nick were very friendly and welcoming.

Mr Burnage, November 2016
Very cosy cottage in a beautiful area.. The sea views particularly from the bedroom are wonderful. The cottage is full of interesting memorabilia about Terry Thomas. There is superb walking straight from the door.
Beautiful sea views from the cottage from both the lounge and the bedroom. It was very relaxing, but also a good base for seeing local attractions. Some parts of the cottage had a Mediterranean feel e.g. the staircase. It was lovely and clean and we would definitely recommend it.
