The cottage is in a brilliant location there is lots to see in the surrounding area.. Many walks and trails from the front door and its easy to get to other parts of Scotland. We visited doune castle which was beautiful, blair drummond safari Park, the hill house and rob roys grave to name a few places. The cottage has everything need and the wildlife in the garden adds to the experience its a very quite loction We hope to visit again next year.

Ideal holiday cottage, very clean and equipped with everything you could need.. In an beautiful location too, on a hiking trail and with a wonderful garden to watch the birds. The homemade flapjacks that were left for us were a lovely treat too!

Brought my mum here for a long weekend. Got a little lost at first, not helped by the woman from the school house sending us in completely the wrong direction. Basically you drive past the closed down tea rooms, pass the village hall on your right then a school on right and keep on that narrow road for about a quarter of a mile. Cottage on left. When we got there the cottage was freezing and even with the fire lit it took till late in the night to get warm because the storage heaters take time to build up heat. I thought it was going to be too cold for mum but luckily she'd fetched her hot water bottle! During the night however, it warned up, plus the weather, although rainy turned milder and the cottage was more than warm enough after that. The beds are comfortable. The cottage is fairly well equipped. It's a lovely area with lots of birds to watch and there were deer in the garden when we arrived. Lots of walks from the cottage door once we'd encouraged the dog from the fireside. Especially the walk to the reservoir and dam, left of the cottage. The only drawback is the mirrors, me and my mum are short and all the mirrors were too high! It would be good to have a wall mirror near a window then we could see to get our faces on.

Comfortable cottage in superb location. Perfect for complete relaxation with stunning surroundings and plentiful varieties of wildlife. Loads of local walks through forests and along lochs, beside rivers and great local villages. Highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful little Cottage, if you are looking for absolute peace and quiet then this is the cottage to book. We loved our stay the weather wasn't kind to us but it was still a lovely relaxing holiday. The garden was stunning, we loved that you have so much choice of where to sit in the garden. We enjoyed watching the wildlife especially the Pine martens that entertained us in the evenings Lovely !!!!

I loved the feeling of remoteness without being cut off from the surrounding areas. The cottage was in a beautiful area with excellent access via road to the whole of the Trossachs. There were two good walkable options for eating out and countless walking opportunities from the doorstep. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. I couldn't have asked for more.

To actually go to a cottage that is actually as it is described is a breath of fresh air, we could not fault it at all. We came looking for relaxation and comfort with an open fire and that is exactly what we got, that and so much more. We would book again but its fully booked already, says it all really.

The Sheiling is the perfect cottage for us. The interior is spacious the main bedroom has the largest bed ever with a great quality mattress for a super nights sleep. The kitchen is very well equipped. From all the windows are views over the large garden to the forest hills beyond. We love our walks and were spoilt for choice with Glen Finglas literally on the door step.
