The Paddock is a ground floor cottage set within the Swallow Hall Golf Club, 6 miles from York. The cottage sleeps two people in one king-size double bedroom which has an en-suite shower room. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a patio with furniture. There is also tennis and golf available on site. The Paddock is a fantastic base wit ha variety of amenities and days out on offer.Property accepts 2 adults only no children this includes babes in arms

Good sized one bedroom cottage located on a golf course close to great fishing, forest walks, a huge retail outlet centre and the city of York.. Central & handy for many visitor attractions! Staff on site were friendly but not intrusive! The cottage was very clean and tidy (important in light of covid) with good facilities! Excellent central heating AND the added bonus of a log burner, laundry facilities were also handy on site AND AGAIN very clean! We WOULD happily visit this location again

If the cottage had a dishwasher as well, this property would be 10 of 10, the owner melissa and all of her staff in the club house and restaurant were very nice people and helpful in all of our requirements..

The cottage was more than what we expected, it was beautifully furnished and very clean and great value for money.. We really liked the homely feel the cottage gave. The location was perfect, with only a 10 minute drive into York city and a very quiet, peaceful surrounding. We highly recommend this place!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet area, and really lovely helpful people who run the cottages.. One teenie tiny thing (it’s really not a big deal) I know it’s self catering and you bring all of your own stuff but after a long journey I went straight to the toilet and there wasn’t any soap by the sink to wash my hands afterwards. Again no big deal we bought our own soap but just that little thing

We had a brilliant New Year’s break away.. We stayed in the Paddock for 3 nights. When we arrived the owners had left us a welcome pack and a bottle of Champagne to celebrate New Year which was most unexpected.They were really friendly and even had the fire lit for us when we returned on New Years Eve after a lovely day out. The place is very clean and is only a few minutes drive from the designer outlet and 20 mins drive into York. There is a park and drive at the outlet if you don’t want to drive into the centre. We will definitely return to this wonderful place.

The owners were there & extremely helpful on arrival & then took the time to come & say good buy.. What more can I say just perfect. The tranquil setting of the cottage is unique then all places to visit so accessable if required. We were welcomed by Jonathan who showed us to the beautiful cottage.. we had tea sugar milk and Cup cakes waiting for us. the golf course and surrounding land was so peaceful and quiet. We ate in the restaurant several times. Ian and Emma were the perfect hosts. The food was the best we had in Yorkshire. We would recommend The Swallows Golf Club Restaurant.

I can't rate this cottage highly enough.. It very much exceeded our expectations being set in such a green peaceful and restful setting. The owners were very welcoming on our arrival and were always on hand at the golf club to answer any queries we had. The cottage was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. It was well equipped and spacious and the bed was a dream to sleep in. The whole atmosphere was very uplifting. When we arrived and the weather was hot, the cottage was light and airy, and when the weather turned chilly the heating was very effective and the wood burning stove was easy to use and delightful to sit in front of. The property is very near to York's 'Park and Ride' facility, which we used easily and successfully. There is a village shop and post office, a couple of miles away, in Wheldrake, which sells everything and stays open all the time.There are plenty of historical and cultural things to do in York and Beverley, and there is access to walking with beautiful views along the Wolds Way, the Minster Way, the David Hockney Trail and the Chalkland Way. We discovered beautiful Wolds villages with excellent pubs and tea rooms. A memorable highlight was visiting the gallery of wildlife artist Robert Fuller, in Thixendale.

The Paddock is an outstanding accommodation set in lovely surroundings.. Nice and comfortable with ample parking and WiFi. 10 minutes drive away is the Designer Centre and also the Park and Ride into York.There is also a BP garage which includes a large Spar outlet and Subway is also a short drive away. It is well worth noting that within the complex is the Swallow Nest Restaurant run seperate from the Golf Club. They serve amazing food at very reasonable prices and also do a Sunday carvery. The Paddock and the Restaurant are highly recommended. We will certainly be going back as we were made very welcome.

Set in a very quiet location within the grounds of a golf club, the Paddock was a good size, equipped to a good standard including free wifi, handy as mobile signal was not the greatest, and had convenient parking and access to a coin operated laundry facility! The standard was superior to many more expensive self catering properties we have stayed in over the years! Very very pleasant!

The lovely PEACE and quiet set into a beautifully manicured setting.. We loved watching the small RABBITS bouncing around every day. The local pubs were really good with very friendly staff and the park and ride to YORK is obviously a real bonus. If anything the photographs of the PADDOCK were exceeded by the real thing.

A splendid little cottage with all modern facilities.. Could not find any faults with it. It is situated in a great position on a golf course. It is only 10 minutes drive to the Park & Ride. Only another 20 minutes on the bus to the Railway Station and centre. We were able to use the train for our days out at Beamish (via Chester le Street with a 15 minute bus ride - and 25% discount to this great museum,Scarborough & Newcastle. The best of all worlds.

It is really quiet and peaceful.. We were met by the owner and given our keys then left to get on with it, which is what I like. There was milk in the fridge and cupcakes on the side. Not far from the designer outlet and park and ride into york. I would highly recommend.

Third time we have been and looking forward to returning.. We have self catering holidays many times in a year and we find The Paddocks perfect. It is cosy, light, comfortable. The owners are friendly and very helpful but keep out of your way. The only word we can use for this place is perfect.

This is Mr Wilson, our break was completely without doubt made fantastic by the accommodation we had, the place was like something out of a magazine! Pristine, comfortable bed, the attention to detail was amazing and felt extremely homely, I was in senior management hospitality for over 16 years and on a professional level the owners should be very proud every box ticked nothing can be improved they always greeted us with a big smile and actually looked like they love what they do so a huge thank you from us we will definitely return 100% so book yours now guys you will not be disappointed.

The owners were lovely.. A cake and a pint of milk upon getting there. Theyre mother in law lent us a map. Bed was so comfy. Tranquil place to unwind which is what we both needed my husband didnt want to come home and not far from a supermarket and the park and ride to get into york

This was our second visit and it was just as excellent as the first time.. It is exceptionally clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. The kitchen has just what you need and no draws full of stuff you don't need. A wonderful peaceful place, we hope to be back.

Booked this holiday cottage near York for a week. Located at Crockey Hill it is part of a golfing complex but originally was part of a farm and one of the farm outbuildings it has been lovingly fitted out and provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. Situated near the Designer Outlet Park and Ride to the City of York a car is essential to gain the best from this location.
