Lovely cottage in a great location right off the High Street and by the Parsonage.. The check in and out times could have been a little more generous. Enjoyed the weekend though - would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing few days exploring Haworth

The Old Forge was the perfect base to explore Bronte country and enjoy living in the idyllic unspoilt historic village of Haworth.. Beautifully equipped and ideally situated. A luxury home from home with very thoughtful touches.

It met our expectations as we have been to the Old Forge before ( only time we have revisited a cottage ).. The bed was really comfortable and we slept better than we do at home lol. The hanging space in the bedroom is quirky but enough for two. We do find we gravitate to the kitchen/dinner and feel it would benefit from a radio down there....would also suggest a small mirror in the kitchen for us women as you have to go up 3 flights to check hair etc

Lovely cottage just like the pictures.. Great to have a parking space although a large car might struggle. Amazing bathroom. Perfect place to just relax.

Car parking very tight for large and long estate bad in dark and could do with TV in kitchen for us rather than bedroom.. Otherwise very good would go again very good position for everything

December 2018
The property was warm, comfortable and in a very good location.. The oversized shower enclosure was great as well as the large rooms. The only let down was the small double bed which was uncomfortable and not conducive to a good night's sleep. A king sized bed would have us booking this cottage for every trip to Haworth, and we visit a lot!

Went to the Old Forge for my partners birthday and she absolutely loved it.. Expectional property in a great location. We really did have a great time, everything we needed was provided and catered for. Would love to return at some stage

November 2018
Beautiful cottage , had everything you needed for a great stay .. Fabulous bath , loved the log burner. cottage was well decorated with lovey period furniture in kitchen . Less then a minute walk to bars , restaurants , shops etc . And an added bonus was the parking space outside your door . Downsides were that it really needs a new mattress. Springs creaking and cracking when you move and bows in the middle . Also most of the cottage was very clean but every room had loads of cobwebs which need to be dealt with ASAP . This should be part of the cleaning regime each time someone hires the cottage .

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Haworth.. The snowy weather made the journey there pretty hairy but once we arrived we couldn’t have asked for more. The owners of The Old Forge were very helpful and the property itself was lovely and much more spacious than we’d expected. Lots to recommend the property but the log burner made it extra special. Haworth is a great village with some super independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The property couldn’t be better located for everything, including access to the moors. We definitely plan to return.

A beautiful cottage at the top of Haworth. Very close to all amenities and quiet. The details about the cottage were good, giving us all the relevant information we needed for a good stay. When we arrived the cottage was warm and welcoming. Lovely and clean with lots of equipment in the kitchen. The owners were very helpful when we spoke to them about our stay. We have already recommended the cottage to our friends and will definitely be back. A great place to stay.

On arriving at the cottage it was warm, cosy, clean and in a perfect location in the centre of Haworth.. A must for all Bronte fans. The church, Parsonage, Main street and access to the Bronte Way was right on your doorstep. Will definitely be back at this gorgeous cottage. Thank you to the the owners for renting a Gem of a property.

My wife and I stayed in Haworth in the summer 2015 and enjoyed the place so much we booked a cottage last August as well. The Old Forge is not just any cottage but a real treat. It is actually an old Forge and in the lounge on the first floor you can see photo's of it as it was many years ago and the staff that worked there. The Kitchen on the ground floor is very large and has everything you could need. The lounge is lovely and comfy with Two large sofas and a woodburner (which we didn't need in August, but we are returning very soon in April so will enjoy that too. The lounge has a little passage/doorway leading upstairs to the bedroom and bathroom, as you leave the lounge you can open a huge old door which leads to a lovely sun terrace with tables and chairs. Upstairs a nice size bed awaits you after a long day in the Dales, and the bathroom is to die for with a huge bath and a double shower cubicle. the latter cam in so handy for me last year as I had a shoulder operation in May. The location couldn't be better with loads of pubs within a minute or two. The Black Bull was great as was the Fleece inn and my particular favourite The Old White Lion which is about 20 paces from the front door!! Couple this with your very own parking space and you have a real Gem of a place.

The Old Forge is right in the heart of Haworth and there are several excellent pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk, there are also numerous countryside walks which all start from the cottage doorstep so you really don't need to use your car at all, an ideal comfortable base for a relaxing break in a lovely setting..

We loved the location, and the car parking space in front of the property was an added bonus. We couldn't believe how peaceful and quiet the cottage was considering how close it is to all that Haworth has to offer; restaurants and bars and the starting point for some beautiful walks and at the top of the hill. Fabulous.

We loved The Old Forge, it is well situated at the top end of main street. The cobbled street had lovely little shops and the views around this village are amazing. The Bronte museum was worth a visit. We also did the trip on the steam train. It was a lovely stay, quiet at night as everyone disappears once shops close. We did enjoy a lovely quiz night at the Old Hall Inn at the bottom of main street, great selection of beers according to hubby and also the Fleece half way up the hill great meal.

We stayed at the Old Forge for one week at the beginning of May. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and maintained to a high standard with luxury bed linen and towels. Even though we had a few rainy days during our stay, it wasn't an issue as the cottage is so relaxing and homely and is situated literally within one minute walk of three local pubs ! One of our faviurites was The Black Bull where the landlord and staff were very friendly. I would also recommend the meals at The Fleece located further down the main street as they were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.

My boyfriend and I had a super break in The Old Forge. The cottage, set over 3 floors is very spacious and is decorated to a very high standard. The bath is fantastic, and the log fire provided a perfect atmosphere for the much needed afternoon naps after walking around the moors! We loved the cottage and wanted to stay longer, a perfect re-treat to 'get away from it all'!

My wife and I honeymooned in The Dales three years ago so a return to Yorkshire was always something we wanted to do. The Old Forge in Haworth is perfectly located for a Christmas stay as it has all the convenience of the town with its restaurants, cafes and unusual shops, not to mention an array of welcoming pubs! We walked on the moors, followed in the footsteps of The Railway Children and had a fabulous Christmas lunch in The Old Haworth Hall. The house itself is warm, characterful and has modern conveniences of wi-fi and a good mobile signal. Sitting in the lounge with the woodburner roaring and enjoying a glass of mulled wine was a real treat. We loved the house and the location!

We had the absolute pleasure in staying at the Old Forge duringthe Haworth 1940s Weekend and week after. What a wonderful house, village and event - I would strongly recommend all 3. The Forge was beautifully presented, very luxurious bathroom and tasteful soft furnighsings etc. The size of all the rooms were impressive and well decorated . Although the outside space was at the front and overlooked by the neighbours, it was a pretty square of houses and didn't deter us from sitting outside in the evening enjoying the area. The parking space out front was very convenient. The Forge is situated at the top of the village close to various pubs & restaurants and has easy connections to local tourist attractions. I would highly recommend The Forge and look forward to staying there again in the future.

This cottage was brilliant, we stayed for my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We got snowed in but the cottage was warm and very cosy. The bathroom in this place was out of this world (warning if your under 5'6" you may need someone in the bath with you as it's so big. We did manage to get out for my birthday and visited the local pub that was just a matter of yards away(no noise). The area is just beautiful and there are plenty of shops to visit. The only thing I would do next time is take a weeks food shopping with us if we went in winter as it was very difficult to get to the spar with the snow and ice. I would recommend this cottage to anyone and will be going again. The only thing I found was space for food storage in the kitchen that was a bit lacking and as the kitchen is so big it would not take much to add another unit or even a couple of shelves. The owners whom we spoke to are very friendly and there to help. I would say if your going to visit Yorkshire and the Bronte country you could not go wrong with this cottage, its very close to all amenities and right in the centre of the village.

Loved getting away from it all and the fact this cottage is in the centre of the village made our stay enjoyable as we were snowed in most of the week but the nearest pub was only 20 yards away.. Would recommend this cottage to anyone and we do hope to return here again. The cottage was very well presented must be one of the best we have stayed in.
