Holiday home
The Loft is a studio barn conversion set on the owners' smallholding, in the village of Staintondale, close to Whitby in the North York Moors. This all first floor cottage sleeps two people and has an open plan studio living area with super king-size double and a sitting area. There is also a separate kitchen with dining area and a shower room. Outside this cottage there is ample off road parking and shared use of extensive gardens. The Loft is a lovely romantic retreat for those that wish to explore the towns, villages and countryside in and around the North York Moors.

Accomodation Details
All first floor (accessed via internal staircase). Open plan studio living area with super king-size double bed and sitting area. Separate fitted kitchen with dining area. Shower room with shower, basin and WC.

Area
The scattered village of Staintondale is situated within the North Yorkshire Moors midway between the fishing town of Whitby, and the Spa town of Scarborough. The Staintondale Shire Horse Farm is just down the road, plus there is a network of footpaths and bridleways in the village.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Was nice to arrive at the loft and find fresh milk,teabag,coffee and some lovely biscuits there for you and not having to unpack all your food etc before having a nice cuppa after travelling there.. Wonderful location and great place to be if you like a bit of walking. Owners were very helpful and gave us lots of information about places to go to see and places to eat etc. Will be looking to book again in the future

Great location.. ..quiet, peaceful. The Loft is roomy and well appointed, and there’s a tranquil spot in the garden with table and chairs to sit out at if you’re lucky with the weather. NCN1 is a short cycle away which permits cycling to Robin Hoods Bay to the north, and Scarborough to the south. Recommended!

Excellent peaceful rural location, well appointed comfortable cottage.. Ideal for walking or visiting local resorts. Would only mention that it would not be suitable for the infirm re stairs access. We would defineatly like to return at some time.

The Loft is cosy, beautifully appointed, very comfortable and well located for a self catering holiday in a stunning area between Whitby and Scarborough.. We walked every day (the weather was sunny) and were delighted to be able to return to the Loft to relax in the evenings. We would certainly consider returning in the future.

The loft was brilliant.. We were met by Pippa who made us feel very welcome,she was very helpful with her knowledge of the local area and afar. The cottage was far better than the pictures. It was converted to a very high standard with all modern appliances whilst retaining the quirky side as well. The loft is in a ideal location for visiting all villages,town and cities. The location is peaceful with views to die for and ohh that bed you could get lost in it, best nights sleeps for ages. To sum up A little bit of heaven.

I can only echo what the previous reviewers have said...The Loft is absolutely a lovely place to stay. It has everything you need for a peaceful holiday. Spotlessly clean, chairs and bed really comfy. Superb shower. If you are cooking you'll find a well stocked kitchen area however there are a couple of good pubs fairly close by. Also a number of cafés and tea rooms. Great location for walking and cycling. If you like to see nature close up have a walk to the bottom of ravenscar cliffs and watch the seals. It was the cherry on the cake for me. The owners Pippa and Graham are really helpful if you need any local info etc. Will definitely be returning. ( hope you're making progress with the pond)

Where do i start , we both loved The Loft as soon as we walked in so cosy and cute, everything is just wonderful, decorated to a very high standard with attention to detail. Pippa and Graham have thought of everything you would need with lots of extras. Loved looking at the animals they keep as pets and also loved picking the lovely apples off the trees in the garden. The loft is well situated for visiting around the area with lots of walks and places to see including the seals at Ravenscar which was great to see. Well done Pippa and Graham on this wonderful holiday let and look forward to staying again soon.

The best location from which to explore the North York Moors and the Yorkshire coast. A beautiful property with very friendly owners providing excellent advice on activities and walks in the area. The property is very peaceful and romantic. We were greeted with just the sound of cows each day. We would love to return in the near future. There is also a nice family run pub within 3 miles.

The loft is beautiful, oak beams, low windows and very quirky. We really loved our holiday there. It was excellent, and all the "little extras" were provided, even shampoo and shower soap. The owners, Graham and Pippa, were lovely people, and nothing was too much trouble, very helpful with places to visit, shop, etc. The North Yorkshire area is very beautiful and we would definitely visit again.
