The Granary Cottage is a cosy cottage in a group of similar properties in Lingdale near Saltburn. The cottage has two staircases each leading to a double and a twin, a bathroom and a shower room, and the rest of the accommodation is split also, with two open plan living areas each offering a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. These can be opened up and linked by a connecting door, making the property ideal for groups to holiday together. Outside is off road parking for many cars, a small private patio and a shared side lawn. The Granary Cottage is perfectly-placed for enjoying the moors and the coast, both easliy accessible and well worth exploring.

Four bedrooms: 1 x double, 2 x twin, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Two open plan living areas each with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
The village of Lingdale is set on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and offers a pub and shop. Just four miles away is the town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, which boasts shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants, a pier and sandy beaches. Close by is the popular towns of Whitby and Scarborough.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

This property can also be booked along side The Cow Byre (7403) and The Calf house (7404) to accommodate group bookings of up to 15 people. The owners were very helpful, friendly and suggested places to go and eat.. Plenty of space for the children to play. Outside area, quite private and cosy . North Yorkshire us a beautiful county. Perfect for us.

We had the two interlinked cottages for a week as there was 7 of us, one sleeps 3 in a twin and a single and the other sleeps 4 in a double and a twin, the cottages were very clean and had everything you needed for your stay.. Very well equipped with crockery and cooking utensils etc. To the rear of the property was a lovely seating area area and beyond that were lots of fields so very dog friendly. The village had a little shop that was very handy if you ran out of anything. This is a brilliant base for anyone wanting to explore the North Yorkshire Moors about 20min drive to Whitby, 10mins to Saltburn where there is a lovely beach, we also visited Goathland and did a couple of walks. Me and my family would highly recommend this property, Bill and his wife were very nice and extremely helpful.

We stayed in the Granary Barn and the adjoining property and found them ideal.. The location and the accommodation were excellent as was the under floor heating and the owners who couldn’t do enough to help with any little problems. Throughly recomend.

The owners were lovely and very helpful.. If there is any criticism at all, the settees were uncomfortable, which probably wouldn't matter in summer but at Christmas they are used more. Parking is great, it is lovely and quiet and very warm.

Owners were on site, but almost invisible.. They were there if needed. (I asked advice 're local takeaway.... and we were well pleased.) The location was just right for us. The accommodation was very practical and comfortable, even when cold and frosty. All round a very pleasant experience.

The cottage suited us very well as we were three generations.. We used one of the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen as a lounge and the other as a kitchen/diner. Owners were very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely cottage with sea views, had everything we needed for an awesome stay.. Owners were super helpful. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds were comfy. Location is walkable to local pub, and only a short drive to some of the best sites in the North York Moors

The property was a bit tired and could have done with an upgrade.. Outside could have been cleaner . None of the kitchen equipment matched odd plates and old pans. The plastic table cloths were old and didn't fit the tables.

Owner gave some great recommendations for things to do, places to eat etc, the 2 .... Owner gave some great recommendations for things to do, places to eat etc, the 2 cottages interconnected worked well for us, 4 adults, 3 kids Only thing Lacking: dishwasher (kids had to hand-wash pots, ha ha)
