The Forester's Arms pub is only 0.5 miles away with shopping in nearby Uckfield (8 miles away) and a main line station with an hourly service to London.  There are many interesting historic houses, castles and gardens nearby to explore as  well as the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park.
