Home to one of the most haunted places in England, Berry Pomeroy Castle is the perfect place to discover some of the area's eery history. For some lovely walks, Dartmoor doesn't disappoint – stop for lunch at one of the traditional pubs for a home-cooked dinner.

When you return home in the evening, pour a glass of red and get cosy by the fireplace. The luxurious bathtub provides a relaxing end to the day, before climbing into the custom-made king-size bed.
