Mr Hills
June 2019
The Dunes was a lovely place, not a cottage but like a brand new house.. But it was so new with new carpets etc, with the really bad weather it was not really dog friendly. We feel it should be advertised as a non dog holiday home.
We did have concerns before going as the owner had sent us an e mail telling us this.
I phoned the number for the person who manages the property and she assured us there would be a couple of old towels we could use left by the door to wipe our dog down, so we only took what we thought we needed. But they were not there, also I know it is June but after coming back later in the day soaking wet and cold we wanted to put on the heating for an hour or so just to warm us and the place up a bit. I phoned the manager on the 2 numbers supplied, no answer so left a message asking her to contact us, but she didnt until a couple of days later. This was only a voice mail saying she would get back to us. We wanted to ask a few questions re the heating and other things, but she didn’t get back. We were due to stay until the Saturday but in the end left early Thursday morning as we did not feel comfortable. What with he weather and no contact . Plus the owners e mail asking us to ensure we kept the carpets and property clean for the next customers, which we felt was an affront to us.
