What a place to stay. Could not of been any better. The warmest welcome from Margaret. Beautiful and peaceful stay. Town not to far away. We loved it and so would anyone looking for a few days away with there pet. Just to get away and relax this is your place.

We had a fabulous week! The dispensary was a great base from which to visit all our favourite places ranging from Barleycove and Kinsale in Cork and over to Waterford. John and Margaret were extremely kind hosts and very helpful. Nothing was too much bother for them and they were on hand to give advice. eg we needed a new bulb for one of the headlights in our car and they helped us get that sorted. Would definitely recommend the Dispensary and also Sykes Holidays Cottages with whom we have now booked our holiday for four years in a row.:)

We enjoyed our very welcome to the house done by Mrs.. Welsh. Everything was fine and we would be happy to come again one day. Ernie, the house dog, we loved and every day we were looking forward to see him again. Amazing property to spend holiday, also in the crazy time of corona virus.

This is a lovely little cottage set in a really great little village.. With a small river at the front and small hills at the back,an ideal setting.Margaret and John are the most pleasant of people, nothing was too much trouble and we received the warmest of welcomes. The breakfast pack was most tasty and very appreciated. In all a most enjoyable time for our Irish visit.

We had a wonderful two week holiday at the Dispensary.. The village and the house are very nice, clean and quiet. Margaret and John Walsh, the owners who live nearby are very helpful and friendly, a big thank you to them. It is really the sort of place we like, it is only a pity that we live far from there (France). We are sure that, one day, we will fancy returning to the Dispensary. Margaret and John are the most welcoming hosts and The Dispensary is a beautiful little cottage in a very idyllic location.. We had a really enjoyable holiday sightseeing around Counties Cork and Waterford and coming back each night to a very comfortable base.

Owner extremely helpful and friendly.. Left us breakfast pack also some of her own homemade bread and jam, delicious. Our wee dog had a great time also.

A fairly remote spot with a small stream running by at a safe distance. only 10 houses in this peaceful spot. The cottage has every thing you could wish, even with a comprehensive breakfast pack.The almost secretive valley is free of traffic, wi-fi and mobile signal, wonderful!!

Please remember that this cottage has no phone signal, or internet connection.. Great if you want to escape, but you need a car.

The cottage was idyllic, inside and out! Mrs Walsh left the nicest homemade bread and Jam and a breakfast pack ready for me. She was so welcoming. The cottage is spotless and really comfortable, and in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. There isn't any wifi and very poor phone signal, which I think helps to make this a perfect escape, and you only have to walk a couple of metres from the property to get signal anyhow! I would definitely recommend The Dispensary for people looking for a relaxing, comfortable break and to explore Cork. The family have restored the property beautifully, and its history is really interesting! Thanks!

We had a delightful stay at The Dispensary which is a perfect touring base for two.. The location is very quiet and peaceful. Everything that we needed for our stay was provided by the owner. Although there is no mobile signal or internet at the property, a good signal was available a short walking distance away.

What an amazing place, it has everything you could ask for (apart from a fireplace).. We wanted a place off the beaten track and this place was it (no telephone or internet) but still close enough to get to Cork with no hassles. The Hosts are so welcoming and even provided us with the ingredients for a full breakfast. We can see why the have won awards. Ps, go to the local bars and meet the locals. We had a great time.

The hosts Margaret and John are two wonderful people who cant do enough for you.. This was our third visit and it is like going back to old freinds! I am sure we will return again sometime.

There was no mobile signal so I didn’t think I would survive without it , but my week in the dispensary was majestic.. Sitting out in the Patio watching the Stars and Galaxies (I did not know you could actually see galaxies) was wonderous. The cottage has everything and more and the owner was very friendly. Also if you walk 100 yards up the hill you can get a mobile signal

The Dispensary is located in a small rural village near Youghal. Its advantage or disadvantage (depending on your needs) is that it does not have internet access and is unable to connect to mobile phone networks. It is a delightful little bungalow; very clean and with all the facilities required for a comfortable stay whatever the weather. The bungalow is on a brookside location and is ideal for countryside walks. The owner lives next door and made us very welcome on arrival. She provided us with a very full breakfast pack to meet our initial needs and avoid the need for an immediate shopping trip and was always available to offer any help we needed during our stay. We very much enjoyed our week at the Dispensary and hope to return one day!

If you’re looking for peace and quiet in a tranquil setting with friendly neighbours and their pets, you’ll find it here.. The cottage is set in a tiny village next to a church. It’s quiet, very quiet. You will definately need a car and the sat nav will never take you back to the village along the same road, and there are hundreds of roads. Tiny single tracks in some cases, some little more than footpaths which hardly ever see a car and which make for an interesting if sometimes frustrating journey! The cottage is clean, warm and cosy and the bed is comfortable, but if you are looking for five star accommodation, look elsewhere. This is a basic cottage with basic amenities, Somewhere to return to after a long day of touring. Keep that in mind and you will be more than happy. There are a number of typical Irish pubs with a mile or so but for eating out locally, find the Old Thatch. Highly recommended friendly pub offering good service, excellent food and drink and free WiFi.

I was in Ireland for work so found the cottage a great place for piece and quiet after a busy day.. Staying here gave me the freedom to cook for myself rather than eating out alone as well as seeing a little of the beautiful Irish countryside. I was made to feel very welcome. Great place to stay.

The merits of this accommodation are accurately well documented on sites such as Trip Advisor, and we fully endorse all the praise given.. The cottage is called The Dispensary and, although it is in Inch, Mrs Walsh goes the extra MILE to dispense a full Irish welcome and every comfort during their stay. There are also 2 canine residents, D'fer and Ernie, who 'paws' at the back door to greet you every morning. I did kiss the Blarney Stone, during our visit, but I really cannot lavish enough praise about this place. We were even snug and warm during a snow storm.

Lovely place, Inch is a tiny village around 25 miles from Cork city center.. Very peaceful environment. We arrived late on the 1st night, the host had turned on the electric blanket for us, and let us know where the keys would be. Actually felt like the price we paid was too cheap.

A fantastic little cottage off of the beaten track, the riverside location adds to its charm. You need a vehicle to get about. The owners go all out to make your stay very comfortable, they are a font of knowledge and are happy just to stand and chat. They have also taken time to think what you would need home from home and trust me they have gone the extra mile. A breakfast pack, homemade bread, jam, butter and milk are provided for your first morning, the kitchen has all the pots, pans, utensils you need. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. TV with freeview, many DVD's to watch if you get board or the weather isnt perfect. A BBQ for those summer evenings. The bed is very comfortable, and there is a hairdryer. The two pubs which are almost next door to each other are up a hill and are about 1.5 miles away, we felt welcome in both. The supermarket/shops are approx 6 miles away, we found the ones in Youghal (Tesco/Lldl) provided the best variety. There are also many butchers, grocers, artisan cafe's/bakers in Youghal too.

We really enjoyed our stay in this very cosy and comfortable cottage with a "history.. " The owner was really welcoming and was on hand to sort out minor glitches. It was a restful stay in a pleasant spot, but close enough to Youghall and its shops and restaurants.

We have had a brilliant time in Ireland everyone is so friendly and welcoming.. Margaret and John are the loveliest hosts you could wish to meet with a fantastic breakfast pack on our arrival. We are already planning to return next year but maybe to Killarney. So if you have any propertieees that meets our needs please forward them on yours Cliff and Cath Daniels

It was a lovely cottage in an idyllic country spot, everything was there for our use just like being at home. It's a fantastic place.

We loved the sitting room and the bed. It was very very comfortable and cosy! Everything was perfect and the owners were incredibly nice with us!

The cottage was in a rural area, and within easy reach of the airport, The cottage was just what we expected, the interior was a credit to the owners. Everything was there that we needed even down to the lovely breakfast pack left by the owner, would highly recommend.

The Dispensary was an excellent place to stay, it was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend The Dispensary to anyone who wants a very clean and comfortable place to stay. It is also nice and quiet, just right, I would also stay there again myself in the future.

First of all we're bound to say that The Dispensary is a beautiful cottage which was lovely restored. I really liked the sheer elegance and the great interior. We were welcomed very friendly by the owner who live just next door, so we had the chance to ask for some kitchen utensils (in fact just a bigger pot). When we arrived a huge breakfast package was prepared for us, which was indeed very nice and more than we expected. Kitchen utensils and towels were provided, so that we had everything we needed. The open space above the walls took getting used to, because so both rooms were connected with each other which gave us little privacy. Same is true for the bath "room" which is part of the bedroom, but not seperated. We couldn't know this from the pictures we saw before, so we thought it might be good to know for future guests. Another disappointing thing was that there is no network coverage at all in/ around the house or in the village of Inch as it lays in the valley. This was another point we did not know until we arrived and it made our stay a little bit uncomfortable as we had to leave the house/ village to receive messages, emails or calls. Having internet access within The Dispensary would make life much easier, but currently there is no internet/ wifi available in the cottage.

I took my husband here for a surprise getaway for his 50th birthday - and he loved it, as did I. The owner was lovely, even providing a little birthday cake for my husband and shopping bags so that we didn't have to buy our own bags in the supermarkets - talk about over and above the call of duty! There was also a generous, and unexpected, breakfast package thrown in free-of charge for our first morning. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy - with all sorts of added extras, such as a library of films on dvd to choose from. The cottage is in an ideal location - the perfect feel of being away from it all whilst, actually, being within easy distance of lots of amenities in the nearby seaside resort of Youghal. Day trips further afield are also for the taking - Cork, the Ring of Kerry and Dingle etc. etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone - even the next-door-neighbours are wonderfully friendly and helpful. We had never visited Ireland before but came away with only positives about our stay - not just for the beautiful country itself, but also for the well-known hospitality of its people.

It is very close to the beautiful coastal town of Youghal and an excellent starting point for trips to Cork City, Waterford, Cobh, Blarney, Lismore, Banteer, Crosshaven and Kinsale, all of which are a 30 to 90 min drive away.

The cottage is certainly located 'away from it all' and is set against the backdrop of a pittoresque little valley with the most lovely people around.. We crossed from England to Ireland, docking at 6pm. We had a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of us, but the directions were spot-on. Easy, traffic free roads. We arrived at the village at about 8.30pm, and the lady who owns The Dispensary was waiting outside to greet us. There are no shops in the tiny village of Inch, so she'd left us provisions for supper and breakfast, at no extra charge. Home made bread and jam, sausages, bacon, tea, juice. Too much to mention. The nearest shops, pubs etc are about 4 miles away in a busy village. And a more major town is a seaside town called Youghal, just 7 miles from our cottage. The Dispensary is the best equipped holiday place we've ever stayed in. Truely a home from home. Even foil, clingfilm, all your linen including towels and bedding. Outside there is a brand new shed which is a fully functioning utility room. Washing machine, ironing board, clothes airer. The owners are not intrusive, but you are welcome to knock on their door for any directions and advice. They really enjoy their letting project. This holiday is a perfect retreat for anyone wanting peace and tranquility in and idyllic setting. We went there as a base to sight-see around southern Ireland. We loved it, but some of the journeys were epic - for instance from Inch to Killarney was a 2 and a half hour drive, before you even start on the Ring of Kerry. But there were plenty of more local sights - Cork, Blarney Castle, Cobh and many beautiful seaside towns. Well worth a visit is The Mahon Falls with it's Magic and magnetic road - look at it on Youtube. This holiday let, The Dispensary at Inch, was perfect for us. More than perfect. I can't remember what price guide it was given, but I know that at the time I believed that it had been underrated.

The owners of the cottage live next door; they are friendly and so helpful. The beautifully restored cottage was fully equipped with everything one could possibly need, a home from home. We have stayed in many, many self-catering accommodations, but this is by far the most superior.
