Very good access to lots of places to visit and beaches all within 30-60 minutes.. The grounds were idillyic even though it was early February still lots of breathtaking views to take in. The clockhouse was warm and cosy with lots nderfloor heating, radiators and a log fire. Well equipped and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Lorna the owner left us lots of basics like tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets plus more which was useful and very much appreciated. Would highly recommend if you want peace and quiet with tranquility but also a good base for sight seeing and extremely dog friendly.

We enjoyed the environment of Lukesland.. The grounds were really beautiful and we enjoyed walking around with our dog. The cottage was welk set out for our purposes as we have a handicapped son who needs to be on one level for all his needs. It was v comfortable and it was a treat to make a real fire. He really enjoys a fire as in his own residence there is not one, Our owner was particularly welcoming and did everything she could to make us welcome.

We had a fantastic week at the The Clock House.. The property has been thoughtfully designed making it convenient and comfortable for all guests whilst maintaining the historic character of the building. The disabled facilities and level entrance were ideal for the elderly and frail member of our party. The kitchen is well equipped to handle holiday cooking and the utility room is very useful. There are plenty of games, books and DVDs for rainy days and the only thing we would have added is a Smart TV or DVD but this really did not detract from our enjoyment. The hosts have provided a vast collection of local maps and guide books making the planning of days out very easy and we were especially grateful for the information about local dog-friendly beaches. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful and it was fantastic to have the freedom to explore. Lorna is an exceptional hostess and we very much enjoyed learning of the history of the estate and getting a chance to see inside her house. Finally, we took our two classic cars with us as we were attending a show whilst in Devon and Lorna very kindly allowed us to photograph the cars outside the house. The Coach House is an ideal base from which to explore Dartmoor and the coast and we would not hesitate to book this property again.

Good for disabled, bathroom well kitted out with stool and non-slip mat.. Very good shower. Nice big bath sheets. Exceedingly well equipped with loads of crockery and cutlery. Lovely to be able to use the garden when not open to the public. Not everywhere is accessible with a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Lovely place and very helpful owner.

We stayed at the Clock House, Lukelands Gardens, Ivybridge, Devon.. The accommodation was exceptional, and the gardens (which we were free to walk) were wonderful, a fantastic escape from the day to day routine of working life.

The Clock House is set in such beautiful grounds, which we were free to explore whenever we liked.. The owner was really friendly and welcoming and we loved being part of that community for a short time. There was a lovely plate of cakes on our arrival and it was very welcome after our journey. The cottage was so well equipped and we wanted for nothing. We loved the wood-burning stove and felt very warm and comfortable. Now we are home, we miss The Clock House so much!

The Palmer family and Ross and his helpers would just like to say how much they all enjoyed their time.. Ross who is severely handicapped sees the cottage as his holiday home which is more than we would have hoped a few years ago. We w would like to book again soon. Thankyou

Staying at Clock House is a little slice of heaven.. The house is beautiful, perfectly clean and well equipped. Being able to wonder the grounds and see the beautiful gardens really is the icing on the cake. The owners are very friendly and approachable, but in no way obtrusive. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are brilliant for anyone with mobility issues. Also the grounds are laid out with paths and plenty of benches making them more accessible than the average. It really is a lovely, lovely cottage and I would highly recommend it.

The Clock House was very comfortable and in a stunning location.. We enjoyed being able to explore the beautiful and tranquil gardens at Lukesland. My father has difficulty walking long distances and standing for any length of time. The groundfloor of the cottage is all on one level which made it easy for him to get from the bedroom with ensuite wet room to the living room and kitchen/dining area - the shower seat in the wet room was extremely useful for him. Lorna and John, who own Lukesland, were very welcoming and it was very helpful to be able to order a delicious ready meal for our arrival. The gardens are open to the public twice a week during the Spring and Autumn but the cottage is tucked away at one end of the estate and so we didn't feel any invasion of privacy. Ivybridge is well located for exploring the South Hams area and is on the edge of Dartmoor. It has a great farm shop (Countryman's choice) at Endsleigh garden centre with delicious cheeses, butchers and pasties and a good local pub (Trehill arms) as well as a Tesco extra, very close.
