The Chalet is a cosy romantic base in Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight. The cottage has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and an open plan living area which has double patio doors onto your lovely private garden area, along with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, a sitting area and dining table. Outside you will find a decked sunbathing and dining area, which leads onto your pretty flagstone garden, with a picnic bench and BBQ. There is also off road parking for one car. The Chalet makes a great base for exploring the island.

Accomodation Details
All ground floor. One 4 foot double bedroom (bed accessed from one side only) with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Compact open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric woodburner-effect stove.

Area
The little parish of Fishbourne is situated approximately one mile from Wootton Bridge and just three miles from the picturesque seaside resort of Ryde. This friendly community is located on the banks of Wootton Creek, which is a popularmooring for yachtsmen. Visitors can also embark the Wightlink Portsmouth Ferry from here. The parish has an excellent pub, a shingle beach that can be accessed at low tide for paddling and fishing, and The Isle of Wight coastal path passes through the community. There is plenty for visitors to experience in this area, including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, Brickfields Horse Country, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Ryde, only a short drive away, offers six miles of excellent sandy beaches and many other attractions including 10 pin bowling, an ice rink, and a superb selection of shops and restaurants.

The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker's paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

The chalet is extremely well kitted out with everything you need for your stay.. It is in a quiet location and well located to access all the attractions on the island. Also within walking distance of the Fishbourne ferry. The only downside is that the bed can only be accessed from one side. The Chalet is ideal for a short break.

Perfect for a quiet getaway.. Everything provided, so all you need to bring is clothes. Lovely hosts greet you on arrival and are on hand if you need anything. They also left us a couple of small bottles of wine and a box of chocolates. Such a thoughtful gift. Will definitely return.

An absolute hidden gem.. The hosts were fantastic and friendly. The Chalet has everything you need for a short break. It is in a secluded location 2 minutes from a quiet beach, 1 minute from a lovely pub. Access to one of the main roads on the island means that everything is within driving distance. We will stay again.

Cosy, well-equipped place to come back to after a day exploring the Island.. Within walking distance of the beach (beautiful sunsets here) and Quarr Abbey. The garden area in particular was the such a lovely surprise! It is secluded and has four separate seating areas, including a BBQ and chimenea. We brought some fairy lights and enjoyed some beautiful warm evenings BBQing, and drinking cocktails round the fire. Overall a delightful stay, in an incredibly convenient location, with very accommodating hosts.

It would be difficult for Sykes to exceed my expectations of them, they have been really good each time we have used them! The following question re publishing feedback is difficult. The Chalet, for the sake of us who are aware, is so good we wish to keep it a secret but for the sake of the super owners such a place needs to be published and thereby full all the time - a dilemma!

The chalet was ideal for our requirements as we were out and about during the day and back in the evenings.. The cooking facilities were good and the place was very clean. The hosts were away during our stay but we did meet with them on our arrival and kept in touch by email. There were no issues that developed during our stay. They provided a selection of books and dvd's to use. We are hoping to return there next year for a similar vacation!

This was our first visit to The Isle of Wight and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there.. The cottage was located not too far from the ferry port and was so easy to find as directions were spot on. The cabin was compact, very well designed and comfortable for two people. As a holiday cottage it could not have been better. There is a pub two minutes away serving good food. We explored the Island each day and included Osborne House which was so interesting. We look forward to another visit sometime soon.

Lovely wooden property, with very friendly and helpful owners.. Everything I needed and in a great location. I saw plenty of wildlife in the garden, too, including red squirrels, which was very enjoyable, and it is literally just round the corner from Fishbourne ferry terminal. This was my second visit to this property, and it will definitely not be my last!

Hosts were fabulous! The garden was ideal for bird watching - hosts topped up bird seed and nuts for the squirrels free! It was compact and 'bijoux' - but this was a positive! An ideal location for exploring the Isle of Wight.

The Chalet is nicely tucked away giving you your own space and privacy. There is an abundance of wildlife in a very serene setting. Considering it is only a small island, there is so much to do on the Isle of Wight. The Chalet is ideal for two people and has been laid out to a very high standard with high end appliances. The owner of the Chalet is available to offer any help and assistance you may require. My wife and I will definitely return to the Chalet, my wife was so comfortable, she did not want to come home. I will certainly be recommending it to anyone that I know plans to stay on the Isle of Wight.
