Holiday home
The Bungalow is a detached single storey property on the owners’ fishing farm in Suffolk, with shared use of a unheated outdoor swimming pool. There is one double bedroom which can also be offered as a twin, as well as a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The fitted kitchen has a dining area, and there is a sitting room with storage heaters. Outside, there is off road parking, and guests have use of 12 acres of grounds including a course fishing lake and a unheated outdoor swimming pool. The Bungalow makes a lovely peaceful base throughout the year.

All ground floor. One double bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request). Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with woodburning stove.

Bentley is a small village in Suffolk, close to the pretty Dedham Vale, ideal for exploring Constable country. Enjoy riverside walks, visit NT Flatford Mill, discover Sutton Hoo or head into Ipswich for the shops, bars and restaurants.

Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

The Bungalow was great, had everything you could need.. Hosts Beverly and Dave were very welcoming and helpful. The welcome pack was much appreciated, milk tea, coffee, fresh eggs from the farm. We were able to purchase fresh veg and fresh eggs from the farm Swimming pool area is nice and relaxing, didn't go in pool as the weather was a bit chilly. They have three wonderful and friendly dogs, Ness, Poppy and Fern. They loved being with the visitors and they would come with us for a walk around the lovely grounds every day. Nice area for visiting Suffolk, we went to Flatford Mill, Lavenham, Woodbridge, Long Melford. Would definitely recommend this bungalow and we hope to go back in the near future.

The Bungalow was comfortable and clean of course but what made it remarkable was the owners--friendly, welcoming and helpful: willing to stop and chat with useful information.. All in all a great holiday, which unfortunately we had to cut short because of the virus out break. We would certainly recommend a stay here. Also, the dogs were entertaining!!

Lovely couple, David and Bev could'nt do enough for us.. Wonderful mega fresh vegatables and fruit and eggs available from their small holding. Very comfortable bungalow with a huge bed! Quiet unmolested fishing available with decent size fish to be caught, you just need to be patient. Lovely grounds with freedom to roam and enjoy the nature that this sensitively farmed area allows to thrive. An absolute Suffolk gem, we will return.

We wanted a comfortable peaceful and relaxing break to start of our retirement.. The bungalow gave us all of this. The setting is perfect the hosts very helpful unobtrusive and friendly. The bonus of the lovely swimming pool and the opportunity to purchase fresh eggs and vegetables was really useful. We would definitely book again.

Was thrilled to see that the kitchen was newer than the photos on Sykes website and that the bathroom was only two weeks old.. The welcome pack was gratefully received and eggs from owner's chickens were delicious as was the rhubarb!! Very comfortable and homely in a peaceful and beautiful location. Plenty of walking without the need to take the car out. Bev & David were so kind and helpful and we enjoyed our daily chats with them. Thank you Bev & David.

There is a lot of stuff that is impossible to include in a description like the friendliness of the property's owners; the amazing welcome and welcome pack (not all property owners think to leave even as little as some milk - these people had left bacon, eggs, milk, butter, bread, fruit, cakes, basket with tea bags/coffee bags); the chats at the end of the day showing an interest in what we had done without being nosey and advice on parking,etc.. ; the offer to run us to the station and pick us up at the end of the day (offer gratefully accepted); repairs to a failed headlight on car. We have never come across hosts like it. They were brilliant.

This spacious and clean cottage is set in wonderful surroundings - David grows delicious vegetables in very well-kept land and showed us around the farm.. The pool behind the bungalow is cold and refreshing in the hot weather. Alton Waters nearby is a most beautiful reservoir with biking, playground for kids and watersports which was unfortunately closed when we came - due to algae. David and Beverly are by far the greatest hosts! (BTW the Bungalow does have WiFi, contrary to the listing on Sykes.)

Very clean and comfortable cottage.. The pool is lovely and just for us! We had drinks by the pool and evening meals. We picked our own tomatoes and cucumber and helped with clearing the potatoes just because we liked it so much. David and Beverly are very kind hosts. The jam and pickles are own homemade. We visited many places and everything is easy to drive. Even went to Cambridge and beautiful Anglesy Abbey.

The bungalow and location were perfect.. There was a very comprehensive welcome pack that included 2 buns (yummy), milk, butter, fruit, jam, bacon and eggs and the bed was a super king size and very comfortable. The pool is large and we spent many hours sitting round it. Beverley and David couldn't have been more helpful even though they had the farm to look after. They sell their veg and fruit and the eggs from their chickens and if you fish there is a large lake. We would certainly recommend anyone to holiday at the bungalow. Already missing the 3 adorable dogs and talking to Beverley and David.

We were made very welcome by Beverly and David who were very helpful.. We enjoyed all the fresh fruit and vegetables, grown on their smallholding,and being able to walk around their land.They provided us with a very generous welcome pack.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we had never been to Suffolk before and found it to be a very pretty and interesting area.It is a shame it is so far away from our home,but the journeys were very good.

Wonderful greeting and welcome pack from our hosts Beverley and David Page, also from Fern and Nessie their friendly dogs. This is a well appointed bungalow with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday, including the fresh vegetables, eggs etc to purchase. The pool at the rear was well used giving us a refreshing start and end to our days out. We had the perfect base for touring the local area with Flatford Mill, Dedham and Shotley within easy driving distance. To top it all off we had glorious sunshine all week long. A great big thank you to Bev and David for making us so welcome!

We had a perfect week at the bungalow, we were very lucky with the weather! The owners are absolutely charming, nothing was too much trouble, and a super welcome pack, that was unexpected. The bungalow was immaculate, fresh and clean. The kitchen has been newly refurbished and contains all you need. We found ourselves eating a meal at the table by the pool most nights as all the fresh air and walking tired us out! The pool is large and clean and right next to the bungalow. The bungalow was far more spacious than I had anticipated, and the super King size bed was also super comfortable! Nothing to fault whatsoever. Thank you so much Dave and Bev.

Fantastic Holiday, bungalow has everything included for a self catering holiday.. Owners very helpful, approachable people. Daily fresh veg grown by owners at their smallholding. Swimming pool a real treat, I swam morning and evening. Walk around grounds, (srumping strawberies and rasberries!! just a couple...honest) Flatford Mill (Haywain), short drive from bungalow, which is spellbounding. Drive to Shotley (15mins) catch a ferry to Harwich and Felixstowe, round trip £10 for one hour, not tobe missed, beautiful village of Kersy 30mins from bungalow and last but not least Southwold a must. First time I have visited Suffolk, I will visit again very soon.

We arrived during a gale and it was so welcoming to see a roaring wood fire to welcome us. Everyone was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. This was our second visit and it certainly will not be our last, this is a gem of a property and anyone would love to stay there.

This was a lovely cottage in Suffolk. The owners are friendly and helpful and made our stay a real pleasure. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable in nice surroundings. An excellent welcome pack too. We used the pool on three hot days -great! There are free-range eggs , veg and honey to buy too. You can walk by the lake and see kingfishers. TV's Jimmy's farm is only a couple of minutes up the road and it is very close to Flatford Mill and DedhamVale, and not far to Aldeburgh -a lovely seaside small town. We really loved Pin Mill by the River Orwell. We also visited the Beth Chatto gardens near Colchester.

We were made very welcome on arrival and soon settled in to explore the large "garden" an surrounding area. The house is comfortable and quiet and the pool was a bonus...shame it was too cold to go in, but this is England! We took bikes and had several very enjoyable rides taking in places such as Flatford Mill, Shotley and even catching the foot ferry to Harwich. Good pub nearby and a short drive into Ipswich. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
