It was a lovely week, the cottage was a fantastic place to relax which was what we needed.. It's bigger than the photos on the website make it look! very nicely furnished, and very peaceful - just the sounds of the working farm. Would definitely recommend!

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the accommodation.. The location set in the Dorset hills was great for going out and about. It is a working farm and we loved the mooing cows and braying donkeys! Thanks to farmer Julian and Vanessa for their warm welcome and the eggs! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Generally a good holiday good accommodation but small items were missing.. When you pay for a holiday you expect to have some basics for your arrival. I appreciate it is self catering but upon our arrival we couldn'[t find any toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, the washing up liquid was empty and there were no dishwasher tablets.

The property was absolutely amazing.. The pictures do not do it justice in terms of size! it is lovely and spacious, even with 4 people. The owners are wonderful people, so friendly and helpful including fresh eggs every morning. the views are wonderful from the property and on the last morning, we were able to watch the sun rise over the hills. definitely worth a visit and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely family holiday.. The Barn exceeded expectations, with the rooms being larger than the impression the photos give. The views across the valley are lovely and the girls liked being able to see the cows, calves and sheep from the windows. The Barn is ideally located for many days out, we visited Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Abbotsbury and many other places. We hope to return in the future.

The cottage is on a working farm, the farmer is a very nice chap - who just makes sure your ok and then leaves you to enjoy your holiday.. The farm is very clean and there were no farm yard smells, just a lovely quiet place. Comfortable cottage, there were two of us but it would easily take four - all rooms, including the bathroom, are of a good size with a nice clean feeling. The view around the cottage is spectacular. There is a lot to see in this area. We enjoyed Bridport, Lyme Regis, Forde Abbey and Sherborne house and the local country is beautiful. Pub down the road, short walk, is good and has a garden with a lovely view.

We had a brilliant holiday.. Cottage was everything we could hope for. Owners were very nice and friendly. Only small thing I found difficult (bearing in mind I am elderly) was the steep step out of the door to sit in the sun We couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Hope to go back next year.

The Barn was a lovely place to stay.. It was extremely spacious with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. We were lucky with the weather but the evenings could still get chilly. Having a log burner was a bonus. Not only did it keep the rooms warm but it was very relaxing and made the pla e even more homely. The views from the accomodation are lovely overlooking a valley. There were cows with calves in the field nearby and sheep on the hillside opposite. We even saw a green woodpecker at very close quarters searching for grubs on the lawn opposite the living room window. A real 'bird's eye view'. There are lots of lovely towns and villages to explore without having to travel too far. The local pub is within walking distance and serve excellent food. They do an excellent carvery on Sundays. This was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and I would certainly return again.

Good location to get to Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Poole, Yeovil.. Narrow roads around villages. Beautiful scenery. Barn owner was very friendly. Pub is easy walking distance but across a road that you need to be careful of. Also booking for a meal is fairly essential. Driveway into farm and to the Barn is very good. Directions given were accurate. All in all a very good experience.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing weeks break at The Barn, the owners made us most welcome. This area of Dorset has much to offer; there were lots of NT properties to visit, it was close to the coast, there were lots of good walks from the door of the property, and a good pub 5mins away. Couldn't ask for more.

We loved being on a working farm, and we were even able to help feed the hens and collect fresh eggs. We loved the location, with a good pub offering excellent food just five minutes' walk away. There was plenty to do, with nice country walks to enjoy, and the various beaches just 20-30 minutes away. The cottage is spacious, particularly the kitchen and living room. The owners were friendly and helpful.

November 2014
The Barn was much bigger inside than it looked from outside. The rooms were large and well furnished. We used the large log burner and it kicked out a tremendous amount of heat, also, the oil central heating was very good. The farm was quiet and although a little out of the way, it was an easy short run to many lovely villages and larger towns. We would highly recommend a stay there.

September 2014
The Barn was much more spacious than I thought it would be from the photo's and the views from the garden are beautiful. We live in the countryside but staying on the farm was made extra special by twin calves being born on our first day. It is so peaceful apart from an odd moo here and there! I will definitely recommend it to our friends and I really hope I get a chance to stay again. All in all a brilliant holiday.

September 2014
A peaceful deep country location, well away from main roads. There were marvellous views from the cottage and great country walks along leafy Dorset lanes to forgotten villages tucked in woody valleys along the base of the Chalk hills. A stroll to the local pub where good food is to be had, and, from its beer garden, probably the best views in SW England across Somerset, Dorset and Devon. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
