Good location and instructions to cottage. Plenty of space downstairs for four people, however limited upstairs. Cleanliness average, certainly not covid compliant. One example is J cloths left from previous customers and no cleaning products left. Also many cobwebs/dust under ornaments. The cottage was well decorated, however lacked some basics. Some examples include no hanging space or drawer space in second bedroom, some lights not working and spare bulbs not compatible to light fittings. Could be a very good cottage if more attention to detail were given.

The cottage was fantastic, everything & more than we could have expected certainly 10/10 for everything,& would love to go back there,so quiet & peaceful & restful.. It appears very rural but it's only 5minutes down the road by car so you get the best of both worlds.

A fantastic cottage, we had a cracking time here.. It’s spacious, clean, and has been modernised really tastefully. It’s a mile or so in to town, but the cottage is close to some good hotel restaurants, some nice places in town too. Just far enough out to be peaceful, walking on your doorstep; but you can walk/drive in to town really easily if you need some bustle!

The cottage was beautifully furnished and well equipped.. it was positioned in a fantastic spot just outside Llangollen. you felt you were miles from anywhere but an Aldi was only la mile away and Llangollen and all its attractions equally close. the owner was extremely helpful . highly recommend it and will be going back.

We we’re having work done at home so it was better for us to get away for a few days .. we weren’t expecting such a beautiful cottage it exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful break and we will definitely be booking with Sykes again.

Nicely situated up a quiet lane close to Berwyn station, this superbly equipped house has modern facilities in spacious clean areas.. The lounge window gives a splendid view down the valley and to the surrounding hills. Outdoor areas are paved, and there is seating for warm evenings. Warm and well insulated, this house can be enjoyed all year. The owners are easily contacted and helpful in case of problems or enquiries.

What a delightful cottage. We stayed, 4 adults, for a week in August. The cottage is spotlessly clean and have everything you would need for a short stay. The bathroom is fabulous. The kitchen very well appointed and with a small supply of basics - salt pepper, coffee, tea, oil, and a few other essentials. Lovely appointed kitchen, induction cook top and easy to use dishwasher. New washing machine and dryer and a separate boot room for when you come inside after walking. The area is just so pretty. Lots of good walks and only a few minutes drive from Llangollen. We had afternoon tea on the steam train - a very enjoyably experience.

Apart from the postcode not exactly matching the location, we did eventually reach the destination from the listed instructions.. Cottage was close to two other properties but not too close. The location was peaceful and beautiful. We had a sheep knocking at the door one day and found a bat (still alive) in the log burner another day. This property is beautifully presented. The only down side would be the dip in the road between the parking area and the main road, especially if your vehicle is quite low. Whatever you do, walk down the hill towards the A5, keep your eyes to the left, look for the Chain Bridge Hotel, have a drink there, then take the walk into Llangollen along the canal. A beautiful part of the world.

This location is so beautiful and the cottage is even more comfortable and so well appointed.. The kitchen and lounge diner are really large and very spacious for 4 adults. The place is naturally cool but also warms up really quickly and retains the warmth. All of the facilities work really weell, such as washing machine and drier and having 2 looks is so handy for 4 adults. The surrounding landscape is so relaxing and plenty of lovely walks. I would certainly stay again and would recommend. The owner generously left milk, teabags, Welsh cakes and a lovely bottle of wine as welcome such a thoughtful touch.

We would return tomorrow to this lovely cottage , in fact we didn’t want to leave and would have stayed another week if it hadn’t already been booked.. We really enjoyed the peace, tranquility and views from the property away from the hustle and bustle of Llangollen. It was surrounded by trees and wildlife, a real haven of peace. It was within walking distance of two lovely hotels where we had good bar snacks in the evening as long as you didn’t mind the walk uphill on the way back! Both hotels had stunning views from the terrace. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness and facilities inside the cottage. The only slight downside was the parking which was a little further up the road ( but the owners left us the keys for the garage to accommodate our bikes.) We had some great bike rides from the door but where pleased we had electric bikes for the return journey uphill. Both the area and the cottage are so beautiful we can’t wait to return. Thank you again for everything and also for the bottle of wine and welsh cakes so kindly left for us.

What a delightful cottage.. So well equipped and beautifully decorated, it is a credit to the owners, they have obviously put a lot of thought and effort in to every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly look to stay again and use Sykes Holiday Cottages. Only tiny downside is the parking, as its quite difficult not to scratch the bottom of your car on the way up and down but it's a really, really miniscule downside on what was a truly great find. Highly recommend.

We have stayed in this area of North Wales many times over the years and of the many excellent accomodations we have rented this by far the best we will certainly be staying here again..

The cottage was finished to an exceptional level, with all of the facilities we required.. The location was fabulous, really tucked away from the main roads but well within walking distance of Llangollen. Very quiet and undisturbed break from the pressures of life in a cosy, warm hideaway. Would thoroughly recommend the cottage to people who appreciate nature, seclusion and a tranquil break.

Really lovely cottage in a very peaceful and quiet area, with pretty much no passing traffic.. Nice views across the valley. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities and having Netflix and an Amazon Fire stick was great. Owners provided a welcome in the form of a nice bottle of wine and some Thomas the Tank Engine themed cakes, which our girls loved (especially as the next day we went to see the trains themselves at Llangollen railway!). Beds were comfortable which is a change for a holiday cottage. Only two minor downsides, one was that we couldn't locate the lockable bike storage (no access to garage), as we had three bikes with us, but they were safe in a small shed, and secondly was that the lovely kitchen had a basic set of crockery and cooking utensils, which as we like to cook a lot was a little limiting, but we managed ok. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our week and would love to stay again!
