A great property with everything you could possibly wish for available.. The conservatory mentioned in the description is now a proper room and all the better for it, while still offering great views to the mountains.

We really enjoyed our stay and found everything we needed at the accommodation.. Our hosts were most helpful and welcoming and glad to share their knowledge of this beautiful part of the world. The home made cake and fresh bread on arrival were an unexpected and much appreciated treat!

This met our expectations as we have booked many times with Sykes.. The annexe has everything you need for a lovely stay. The hosts Karen and Phil are very helpful and provided some homemade treats which were delicious. It is in an ideal spot for many walks. The waterfall walks are amazing especially after the rain, and well worth the hike to reach some of them. Some are easy treks of maybe 3/4 mile with flat access. We didn't go to the pub over the road but really liked the Red Lion at Penderyn which serves real ale straight from the barrel and a good food menu.

Location is excellent, views during this current good weather are perfect. Mr & Mrs Hurd very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. This would be perfect for anyone whether able or disabled, including being wheelchair bound. If the weather is inclement then there is a conservatory, for the private use of guests which could show good views. There is also a private garden area again for the use of guests. To top it all if you like a gin, you are near to a very popular Distillery! Would certainly hope to visit again!!.

Swn Y Gwynt is an absolutely fantastic place to stay.. Extremely good facilities (particularly for people with mobility issues as all on one level and great bathroom). Gorgeous uninterrupted views of the Breckons from the cottage which would be an excellent base for anyone exploring that region. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely owners of the cottage who were very friendly and had baked us the most delicious cake and homemade bread. Absolutely can't fault it in any way, thanks for a great holiday.

The location of this property is ideal for anyone who likes to walk and/or cycle.. A few minutes down the A470 and you have the Cyfarthfa retail park for the shoppers and for those who like a bit of history there is Cyfarthfa Castle, that one of the notorious iron masters built, and lived in. The Brecon Beacon national park is a few minutes ride in the opposite direction. And then there's the Dan- yr- Ogof caves. Try a visit to the Rhigos mountain, on a clear day it commands a wide vista across the valley to the Brecon ranges (there's a refreshment van) I live six miles from this property. Its a little haven just to get away for a few days and relax with family members from London. We love it. The view from the sitting room is wonderful. If you leave the curtains drawn the early morning view ( this time of year) is both atmospheric and beautiful as the sun starts to rise. The mountain ranges, to the right, seem to go on forever, that view and the silence is truly magical and so very relaxing. But as always a good start to any holiday is the welcome you get on arrival, and here at Swn - y - Gwynt you'll certainly have that 'Welcome In the Hillside.'

The owner of Swn Y Gwynt was most helpful and obliging, being there to meet us after we had previously informed them of our estimated arrival time, showing us around our accommodation, and also informing us of local beauty spots to visit, food shops, and also good establishments for meals. Karen was kind enough to bake two cakes, giving us half of each! The accomodation was just right for us, the large TV was a bonus, with the Euro 2016 tournament going on, and the bed was most comfortable. The cottage was located in a quiet place, but with good access to roads for travel to other places during our stay. We cannot praise the accommodation and owners of the property too much in our view! Finally, the view from the back of the property is just great!

Phil and Karen were lovely hosts, supplied us with homemade cake and bread on arrival and were so helpful with info on places to see etc.. As advertised the beach, mountains and waterfalls were all in easy reach.

The accommodation was excellent and very well positioned for exploring both the Brecon Beacons and coastal walking from the Mumbles to Gower. We will definitely return.

Swn Y Gwynt was very comfortable and clean. The owners were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the close proximity to the Brecon Beacons, the view of distant peaks from the relaxing conservatory was superb.

What made the cottage was the conservatory and the views, they were brilliant. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We will be returning.
