Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cottage left an awful lot to be desired. It was evident the previous guest had a dog as the downstairs of the house was covered in dog hair. Under the dining table was disgusting and clear the chairs hadn't been pulled out to be vacuumed. The rug in the lounge was also covered in hair. The smell of dogs was also very strong. So much so we had to go out and buy a scented candle. We attempted to vacuum the floor, but the smell from the vacuum made it even worse. The property also has a big problem with bugs. The entrance to the property was littered with hundreds of dead woodlice by the end of the week and they'd also found their way into the cottage. The shower in the downstairs bathroom didn't work upon arrival as it was so clogged up with limescale. I removed this to give it a scrub to get it working again as needed to bathe our 4-year-old. We ended up checking out a day early our daughter really didn't like the place with all the bugs. All in all a disappointing stay. The property has a lot of potential, but the cleaners need to up their game to make it suitable for people with children.

First of all, I want to say the cottage could be beautiful as it has been nicely decorated and has a lovely feel, but we were disappointed that cleaning hadn't been carried out to a good standard. In the kitchen, there was a dirty dishcloth that was left for us to use, ovengloves that had food spilled on them and the remains of fried egg in the sink plughole. In the upstairs ensuite bathroom there was a used toothbrush/tooth pick in the toothbrush mug, which had dried toothoaste in the bottom of it. The sink hadn't been cleaned behind the tap, and there were also a lot of watermarks/limescale on the tap and shower head suggesting it hasn't been wiped over or cleaned using a suitable product. In the rooms the windowsills were very dusty, some had cobwebs which looked like they may have been there for some time. This cottage has potential to be lovely, but it needs a thorough deep clean first.

The cottage had. everything you need for a wonderful stay. The owners have put a lot of thought into making your stay like home from home and the communication from them was excellent . The cottage was clean and very pet friendly The cottage is set in a lovely village location, that is ideal for exploring the coastline . Would definitely recommend for walkers and photographers
