AreaSettled in the region of Aberdeenshire surrounded by countryside is the small town of Alford, steeped in history and offering a perfect location for enjoying both the city sights of Aberdeen and the vast Cairngorms National Park. The town is home to several local businesses including shops and pubs, and also the Alford Heritage Museum. Visit the Battle of Alford battleground, or head to nearby Haughton and Murray country park, with Craigievar Castle being well-worth a visit too.

Shop and pub 5.3 miles miles. Note: There is no WiFi at this property and mobile phone reception can be poor. Note: Access is via the front door which has a step, and there are three internal steps down into the living/dining area, the area by the front door is cobbled. Note: Dogs are not allowed on beds or any of the furniture, you may like to bring an old towel to wipe muddy paws. Note: The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted. Note: Fuel for the open fire is not provided, logs and coal are available locally at petrol stations and shops, we kindly ask that you do not collect wood from the estate. Note: If the Accommodation becomes inaccessible due to bad weather the National Trust for Scotland will take all reasonable steps to inform you and to offer an alternative National Trust for Scotland property.
