Area
Situated in the rolling hills of North Herefordshire, between Ludlow and Hay-on-Wye, in the heart of the Welsh Marches, lies the tiny rural hamlet of Luntley – a charming, tranquil location. A mere two miles from Luntley is the medieval village of Pembridge – renowned as the "Jewel in the Crown" of the famous "Black & White Village Trail". With three traditional country pubs, a market hall and unusual church – with a detached tower dating back to the fourteenth century, as well as a whole host of half-timbered houses, this lovely village is sure to please any history enthusiasts or those interested in architecture. The surrounding countryside also offers a wealth of activities, including walking, cycling, riding and fishing. With so much to do in the near vicinity, it's unlikely you'll even need to take a trip to nearby Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, medieval Ludlow and the impressive Shropshire Hills.

Nice quiet location and nice homely cottage (barn conversion) We did have trouble with the heating and contacted owner on site who made us feel like we were a nuisance. She did however send plumber next day who fixed it. Shower tray downstairs filled up and had to stop shower half way through for it to drain away Main problem for us as a family 6 - this was self catering cottage - small fridge and tiny freezer box. I had to keep most food in cooler bag in boot of car

We have just had a wonderful holiday in Stable End cottage in Herefordshire.. The cottage was perfect and exactly as described. It was clean and spacious with excellent facilities and the perfect combination of private outdoor space and shared space for the kids to make friends. The wifi was very useful and the eggs from the farm were the best ever. Dealing with Sykes was a pleasure. They were helpful and friendly with a good sense of humour and sent through clear instructions about our holiday without bombarding us with unnecessary information. Thank you.

This was well equipped accommodation in a charming setting within reach of many historic towns, villages, places of interest, pubs etc.. Largely comfy beds and quality bed linen. All I'd say is that the walls are thin, extractor fans connected to bathroom lights noisy and stairs creaky (it's a barn conversion after all) so I was grateful I was staying with considerate people and took ear plugs! Loved the placing of the downstairs bathroom which gave us the impression of a separate wing.

We (2 families with children under 10) had a great week in Stable End.. The barn conversion is very cosy and had everything we needed. Showers were powerful and hot, beds were comfy, central heating was very responsive and the place was quiet. Plenty of safe, outdoor areas for our children to play.

We (2 families with kids of 10, 5 & 2) stayed here for a week. The barn is very pretty, it was clean with hot, powerful showers and comfy beds. The central heating was very responsive and kept us nice and cosy. There is plenty of safe, outdoor space for the children to play. The barn had lovely views across the sheep fields and was a very calm, quiet place to relax in. Herefordshire was a revelation to us, what a beautiful, unspoilt county (we live in rural Oxfordshire).

We stayed in Stable End as we were in Hereford for a wedding. Six adults and there was plenty of room. The linens and towels were excellent quality and the kitchen was well equipped. We had family staying in another of the barns and we were able to gather together at the front where there is a large patio set. Each barn also has its own patio furniture in its own garden and then there is an enclosed field for all the barns to use. This was brilliant for family games night, knowing that the children were safe. I would highly recommend Luntly Court Farm as we could not have wished for a better venue for our weekend. The owners are on site and very helpful.

It is a lovely clean cosy cottage.. The crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment was of high quality. We had everything we needed for self catering. It was great value fir money. It’s in a lovely location, tranqille settings and in easy teach of the many attractions. There was no noise from the farm apart from the sheep baying but we found them interesting and charming. Have very lovely memories, we all do. Only a couple of issues which I’m sure you are aware of, lots of little flys and bath towels quite hard. It may be that previous residents washed them without conditioner and dried of the line. Thanks again we will recommend you.

Our first holiday booked via Sykes Cottages and if this is the standard of the places available, we'll be booking again.. We've still got a lot of the UK to explore so let's hope there are cottages close to the areas we plan to visit.

Stable End is a beautiful cottage situated in the stunning Herefordshire countryside.. The location could not be more idyllic! With plenty of open space for kids to play and all the home comforts a family needs it is the perfect destination for gatherings or just a weekend getaway from city life. We met the owner Sandra who is simply lovely and incredibly welcoming. I would definitely return and would highly recommend!

The surrounding areas were simply breathtaking and many of the sights were not too far to get to.. The Owens' dog, Gilbert, was absolutely delightful & amusing. Perhaps the only disappointing aspect was that there was not so much as a complimentary pint of milk or even a bar of guest soap to make a start with. These little gestures (and more) were always available in the other Sykes cottages, although of course this is down to the owner's discretion. Overall, it was beautiful and definitely worth a second stay.

My friend and I had a great holiday in the converted barn at Luntley. A wonderful place if you want to chill-out and forget the world for a bit. Lots of interesting places to visit; especially if you are a National Trust member. The owner could not have been more helpful, and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
