Stable Cottage is a delightful, ground floor cottage set four miles from Ingleton in Yorkshire. With two bedrooms set at either end of the property, one king-size double and one twin, both with their own en-suites, this cottage can sleep up to four people. There's also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, while outside is a patio garden with furniture. With a wealth of beautiful landscapes within easy reach of Stable Cottage, including the National Park and the Forest of Bowland, this is a wonderful retreat for your next Yorkshire getaway.

Accomodation Details
All ground floor. Two bedrooms with en-suite shower, basin and WC: 1 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric fire.

Area
Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The centre of the village is pretty with narrow and winding streets, centred on a tiny market place.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

The cottage is lovely but don’t get fooled by the ramp and low level switches and nicely placed sockets, the furnishings are not suitable for a disabled person. The sofa, chairs and bed are too low. The floor is slippery and the door handles are impossible to open, very nice but round and have no grip. It has everything you could possibly need apart from a curtain on the stable door. It is beautifully warm and quite spotless. The animals in the stable opposite are fun to watch and always bring a smile to your face.

Peaceful and comfortable, and a convenient centre for the southern Dales area.. ...and within easy reach of the M6 and the Lakes. Some advantages of the facilities here were the separated bedrooms, each en suite with generous showers; also the parking space at the door. Interesting that no mention was made of the extensive lodge complex behind us...but it didn't in fact impinge at all and the on-site staff were helpful.

The cottage was perfect in an ideal location for exploring the wonderful countryside and having an enclosed courtyard and lovely walks from the doorstep made a big difference.. The kitchen was well equipped with more than everything you need and a really comfy bed.

This was our second visit to Stable Cottage and as last time all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing too much trouble.. A beautiful setting and cottage well equipped. We hope to be back next year.

On arriving at cottage where a friend of ours had previously visited were they had a welcome pack, there was no welcome pack, we checked the comments book to find that visitors before us had a welcome pack, I enquired about this and was told that they no longer do a welcome pack since the new owners had taken over, The underfloor heating isn’t working and there are comments going back a couple of years in the comment book to say it’s not working?

The location is so peaceful in lovely surroundings, with Donkeys, Alpacca, Shetland Ponies, Goat s and Boar right outside.. The front door. The walks are excellent and our Jack Russell Sam, thoroughly enjoyed himself. An ideaLlocation for touring around about, Lancaster, Carnforth, Arnside,Silverdale,Ingleton Settle, Kirby Lonsdale, Skipton. Clitheroe and The Lakes, all within easy travelling distances by car, and the local hostelries are welcoming and serve excellent meals. All in all, so good, we have already booked here again for later this year.

Stable Cottage is great, but we missed a coats stand.. We love walking, which we did every single day because of the good weather and the stunning surroundings.in brief, we had a wonderful time. By the way, we had a pub lunch every day, which is definately part of rhe fun.

Sykes need to tell customers that there will be not be anyone on reception if they arrive after 4pm and they will have a problem getting the key for the cottage,there’s no mention of this in your arrival details.. The cottage is lovely but no way of drying towels if the weather is bad as there are no heated towel rails and no dryer.Having said that everything else was spot on.

Lovely situation with extraordinary weather for the area.. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful (2 small hiccups sorted right away). Would have no hesitation in recommend it to friends. The whole park is very well run and we thoroughly enjoyed our week.

If you have children they will love being so close to the animals - horses, goats, alpaca - literally outside the cottage.. Positives - Cottage all on one level; very relaxing and quiet. In the summer there is a lovely place to sit out. In fact we managed to sit out one day as the sun was lovely. Negatives - For someone who's disabled, I did find this cottage hard in that both the showers had a step up of almost 6 inches which, for me was too high and both the toilets were too low. The toilet in the ensuite in the twin bedroom - be careful that you don't bump your head on the cupboard (speaking for experience). Hopefully there will be a new microwave for the next tenants. When we arrived the microwave was broken (we did report it). Not enough side plates or forks. No extra toilet rolls or soap and shower gel - or are we just spoilt by other owners of cottages we've stayed at. For groceries there is a co-op in Bentham and in Kirby Lonsdale there is a shop. In my opinion a Country Park Shop selling milk and bread would be an added extra to the site, which was very clean and well kept.

Tho the weather wasn't very kind to us, the cottage was superb.. Animals on the farm were a delight. Staff were very informative about the surrounding areas and couldn't have been more helpful. Absolutely loved it. Big thank you.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage and lovely people that own it.. Made us feel very welcome. My daughter left her teddy bear there and before we'd even got home they had called to say they'd post it back. Excellent service. Can not recommend this cottage enough. We didn't want to leave.

4 of us stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely cottage nicely converted from a stable, very well equipped in a beautiful setting. in a picturesque part of the UK. What else would you want for a holiday?? Only one problem of which both Debbi and Collin are aware of is that the control system for the underfloor heating is, shall we say "Difficult", and needs simplifying which they all agree on. If you feel the cold this cottage is just for you...its very warm. What else can I say about it? I would highly recommend the cottage and the complex which is lovely to anybody.

There is a lovely walk round the outside of the site, through some woodlands and then into a large field. A perfect place to sit and relax and chill thank you so much and you will see us again.

Along with my wife and dog we have just spent a wonderfully peaceful week at this splendid cottage. The cottage is a decorated and furnished to a very high standard and the setting is perfect. In the cupboards is everything you need and on our arrival there was coffee, tea a pint of milk and a lovely home made jam sponge waiting for us. The wild life in and around the farm is fantastic with squirrels, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs horses all passing by your windows, its lovely to sit and watch. There is a lovely walk round the outside of the site, through some woodlands and then into a large field. It was perfect to walk around with our dog she loved running through the grass in the field. A perfect place to sit and relax and chill thank you so much and you will see us again.

The cottage was immaculate and extremely comfortable with everything you needed to make it home from home. It was in a very quiet location with goats, horses, pigs and sheep as your neighbours. The views were spectacular and it was well situated for visiting Ingleton Falls, Malham Cove, Ribblehead viaduct, Lancaster, the coast and the Lake District. The staff were very helpful and friendly giving us useful tips for the area.

Excellent property, we took our large dog with us and there was plenty of ground, fields etc around the cottage to exercise him - a much appreciated extra advantage. We received a lovely welcome, the cottage couldn't have been better equipped and it was lovely snug and warm, whatever the weather.
