The village has a selection of shops, pubs and tea rooms and a wider range of amenities are available in the nearby market town of Burford “Gateway to the Cotswolds”.

Upon arrival there was an unpleasant smell in the sitting room and in the bedroom above the sitting room.. It lasted throughout the weekend.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage, located in a very quiet corner of this incredibly beautiful Cotswold village, with an unhindered view across the garden to the countryside beyond.. The beautiful living room is the nicest feature of the house and the central heating quickly warms it when lit. We had glorious weather over the whole Easter weekend and were able to enjoy the sunny outdoor terrace in between spending most days visiting family in a nearby village. The cottage is small, though, especially for 6 adults. The bedrooms are smaller than one is led to believe in the property description; only the second twin room is advertised as being small, whereas the double bedroom barely affords space to move around and no space to unpack a case on the floor without blocking the door. The dining area in a corner is cramped, too small for 6 people round the table without everyone having to get up to allow others to leave. Fortunately, this was not too much of an issue for us since we ate all meals outside except breakfast. There didn't appear to any way to heat the kitchen which was chilly first thing in the morning. On the other hand, there was ample stock of quality crockery and cutlery. There was an unpleasant smell in the hall the whole time (drains?), but a previous tenant has already remarked on this, so hopefully that will be resolved soon.

Well equipped comfortable cosy cottage in very pretty location.. Lovely walks nearby but a good distance to shops so you would need to plan ahead. A great choice for people looking for countryside and tranquility. Problem with upstairs shower not working was investigated promptly but not able to repair during our short visit. However there was a second showerroom downstairs.

We had a lovely break at Spring Cottage.. Spring Cottage was in an idyllic location and had it been summertime it would have been an even more appreciated stay as the gardens were lovely and spacious. Although the accommodation is listed as 3 bedrooms and could accommodate 6 people, the bedrooms were small and the double bed was not big enough for a long stay. Also, the lounge/dining room which was the only reception room would have been too small for more than 4 people. However, regardless of the above, it was a beautiful cottage, impeccably clean and a real delight to enjoy. The downside is walking down all your luggage from the road to the property but I guess that is part of the charm of the setting in itself. A very quite location and very relaxing. We had a small dog with us, Hector, who enjoyed himself enormously and there were a number of quality hotels/pubs in the nearby villages that accommodated us taking Hector with us to dinner each evening where Hector was made very welcome on all occasions. Our favourite hotel/pub was called The Village Pub in Barnsley - absolutely fabulous cuisine and ambience. We would strongly recommend Spring Cottage taking into our comments above.

Cottage set deep in Cotswolds once left main road one car width to drive to village.. No mobile phone signal so need in car sat-nav don't arrive after dark you wont find cottage as it is off road even with sat-nav.Leave range rover at home and take the mini as car parking is difficult. No street lighting at all so need powerful torch to walk the dog. Finally down stairs saniflow toilet would not advise to use stick to main bathroom up stairs

There were many things wrong.. The property isn’t easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Parking was a nightmare. The wifi info was incorrect, the kitchen faucet wasn’t working properly. There wasn’t firewood, starting materials or briquettes so as a result we couldn’t use the bbq.. Kitchen utensils were cheap and knives weren’t sharp and couldn’t cut properly. The property in general was misrepresented and was rather shabby and rundown. Also I haven’t heard back about my damage deposit that should have been returned to me. Please let me know when this will happen.
