Area
The settlement of Hawkchurch may be found in Devon, England, roughly six miles south of Somerset and three miles north-northeast of Axminster, close to the boundary between the counties of Devon and Dorset. Located north of the popular seaside resort of Lyme Regis, this is an excellent fishing and vacation spot. The village shop in Hawkchurch is a cooperative enterprise. The Old Inn, the local watering hole since 1543, is a replica of a classic English coaching inn. One of Devon's loveliest small towns, nearby Axminster is home to a plethora of unique stores, a monthly farmers' market, and some of the state's finest historic inns, including one that dates back a century and is said to be haunted. Lyme Regis, a popular seaside destination, is home to numerous art galleries, specialty stores, and restaurants. Lyme Bay, with its gentle shelving dunes and clear waves, is the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the stunning Jurassic coast, which can be accessed by the coastal path. Hawkchurch is a convenient base from which to explore the rest of Dorset and Devon at any time of year.
